My fiancée and I just moved downtown, and this dog park is only a few blocks from our apartment. Our dog, Juno, loves it! It has a great location in the quality hill neighborhood overlooking KCK and the river market. The park is well-manicured and maintained, with nice shaded pavilions to sit. There are lots of friendly dogs for Juno to play with. Another benefit is that it is located on a big hill, so Juno expends even more energy running around.
My dog and I love this park! It's only a few blocks away from where we live, and we usually go in the mornings and evenings before and after work. As long as you're there before 7:30 in the morning, there are usually a few dogs running around. Same goes for around 5:30ish in the evening. Timing is key to see other dogs. The community is amazing as well, and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Heidi is also great at keeping everyone up to date with what's going on, and she holds such fun social events! Definitely worth the $50/year. My only complaint would be that their annual maintenance locks us out for a whole month... not sure why it takes that long. But for those complaining about the membership fee, it gives me great comfort that all dogs in the park have to be registered and vaccinated. I'd highly recommend joining!!
Nice dog park, but only for the elite. Membership only to keep the lower income people out I guess. Sad.
Really awesome off leash dog park! Enjoy the incredible views while your best friend enjoys this great park.
Requires keycard for entry. From other reviews looks like it’s $50-$60/year to access place but I couldn’t find anywhere to actually sign up. So maybe it’s exclusive to people in the area??? Not worth it when there’s plenty of other free dog parks just as well maintained. Update 12/21: Dog park name was updated to reflect membership only since review
It's no secret, you have to pay $5/year to access this dog park. They request paper work that your dog has been vaccinated and fixed. If you ask me, it is worth the price for extra assurance that their are no irresponsible dog owners present. They do have water fountains and a few gazebos with picnic tables to sit at. 2 entrances with key fob locks. My pup loves it!
A dog park that doesn't have any dogs. 3 stars because it's clean and not as muddy as others. It's small but decent space even for big runners. I come here on the weekends between noon to one when it's cool and sunny out and not a soul is here. Really frustrating to pay premium for my dog to play by himself which we can do for free at any other park.
Great park! We take our dog and he has a great time. The other members I've met are friendly and they are accepting applications right now. It is more than worth the $5/year price to know the other dogs are vaccinated. There are 2 picnic tables and a shade over them, at least 1 water fountain for people and pets, and a port-o-potty right outside the lower gate. Poo bags are located by the upper and lower entrances so make sure to grab a couple when you 1st come in if your dog is anything like mine. The park is mowed every week and there is a big hill to tire your pooch out.
I have not been here yet but I wanted to update that membership fees are now 50$ a year, not 5$. Renewing members pay 40$ a year. It can also take up to 2 business days for toggle to become programmed and gain access to park. Important things to know if you are just planning on showing up!
Only residents. Great for them, purl for the rest of the city
