This might not be a " one of its kind" review, because I am sure that %90 of CEV residents feels this way too. We moved in on August 13th, as we informed the management about our move-in day earlier. As any normal person would think, the apartment would be in an appropriate condition to live in, especially when you travelled across the world 30+ hour flight. However, the people before us were very wild, which was pretty clear due our apartment's condition, as it looks that they moved out before our move-in time within an hour!! 3 large garbage bags and 2 garbage boxes were the first thing I saw when I opened my apartment's door, there were also food leftovers they looked fresh lol, langerie, stripping poles, and among-us stickers were everywhere. Bathrooms were clogged, my bathroom was already used THE SMELL WAS ****** and someone literally shaved in it and forgot to wash it off. smoke detectors were removed. Long story short, the apartment wasn't neither cleaned, nor fixed. But still, till this moment, no one has even apologized for this mistake, we have submitted over 10 maintenance requests, only one was fixed They told us that our problems are not urgent?????. We live up the hill, its really difficult to climb and to move our stuff inside, especially when there is no at-door transportation. We are extremely upset, so I hope the management sees my review and re-consider their services. Because what happens in CEV is beyond unacceptable and cannot be justified. As a resident, I expect to get what I pay for and to be respected. DO NOT LIVE HERE SAVE YOUR $$$.
North Hills really thinks they can escape the PR nightmare they've created As Campus evolution Villages, but changing the name won't make moldy, unliveable, and flooded apartments go away. Maintenance Requests are routinely ignored, we went without a working dryer for months, and our Refrigerator water filter is disgusting. Our faucet isn't attached to the counter, floorboards are peeling, etc. The folks that live in tents at the amphitheater on the rail trail have higher quality of living. Don't rent here. Edit: adding more photos as the complex falls into disrepair
I’d recommend this community to anyone that’s looking for an affordable home away from home for their students. My Son and Daughter both live here. They were able to bring their pets with them, which makes me happy to know they are not alone. The office staff and the manager has been great to work with. Maintenance is super efficient with all work order requests.
I moved here in the Fall of 2021 without ever being up to tour or check it out before i moved in. For it being the first time i have ever lived on my own it was the easiest transition i could have ever had. The staff was more than helpful, the move in process was super easy, and just overall how everything works together is great. Having my own private bathroom, washer/dryer in unit, and free cable/internet was what got me to sign here. Maintenance team is spectacular and always gets to my requests quickly. Probably the best choice to live in Morgantown in my own opinion.
Justin showed us a beautifully renovated apartment and did share that not all would look this way. However we were also told that my daughter would have a decent selection if she chose to move into a 4 bedroom and they had a great price as an incentive. We mentioned concerns from previous experiences as Elisabeth is the youngest of 4 lol! He reassured us that they have two different individuals doing the final walk-thru before approving the apartment as cleared to move in. We appreciated Justin reassuring us and putting our minds at ease. He even shared that it would not only be him but another employee as well clearing apartment to be move-in ready. A red flag:Fast forward as move-in day approaches she was told by Heather that she would not be able to pick her unit. She was disappointed but understood she had been misinformed and still chose to sign her lease. Today they left keys in office for her. We are beyond disappointed. The apartment was absolutely gross. Carpet was not cleaned and the bathroom was so filthy. Huge bait and switch. We understand that is was obviously not renovated but there is no excuse for the state of the apartment. Unbelievable that 2 individuals would have given a thumbs up approval for a tenant to go ahead and move-in to this apartment. Very disappointed in Justin. I would recommend that you go somewhere else but at the very least do a walk thru of your apartment before signing anything.
I’ve lived here going on three years now, and the steady decline in the overall quality of Northside Hills, previously Campus Evolution Villages, has been evident and honestly embarrassing. Between a bloated staff of unhelpful office workers who invest most of their time and money in managing their online image/planning community events, and a maintenance crew that is understaffed with inexperienced and incompetent workers alike, there is no way they can continue as they are. Water damage is neglected until it’s allowed to mold, buildings are falling apart while they spend $3 million on a new paint job for the ones visible from the road, the amenities are only open during limited hours and even then the pool has been closed all summer for renovations, etc. In my own personal case, our first unit was flooded with over an inch of water, and we were left with a half finished vacuum job, electrical issues, and no remedy for the mold caused by the water damage. We noted the treatment but didn’t raise a stink about it. Before we transferred to a new unit the next year, the AC gave out likely because the filter had only been changed once in our two years of residency. We spent a week in the middle of July with no response to our work order, only to be told that, because we would be transferring units an additional week later, they weren’t going to fix the AC. Two weeks with no AC during the hottest part of the year. Fine, we didn’t put up a fight. We transferred to a new unit with little notice on the exact moving day, given a window of 24 hours to remove all of our belongings from our current unit, only to find that our new unit was in a less than desirable condition. More mold, holes in the wall, furniture left damaged, brand new carpet laid over pervasive pet urine stains that had seeped into the baseboards of the wall and carpet underlay and could be smelled throughout two bedrooms. We were polite. We were reasonable. We gave them time, and more time, and more time. They seemed accommodating at first, but time has made it clear that they do not care about the issue in the slightest. We have been told the issues would be fixed next day, and then left in the dark for three. They have consistently argued with us and downplayed the state of our unit. We have received calls harassing us over payments that would not be due for days, so anxious that we would withhold payment that they spent more than a week lying, stalling, and minimizing damage that probably would have taken an hour or two tops to completely address. Between the three of us, none of us has had such a poor experience with any other apartment complex in Morgantown. Save yourself the trouble and sign anywhere else.
My wife and I are looking for an apartment in Morgantown and several people recommended calling Northside Hills and speaking with a leasing manager. The leasing manager we spoke to was Madison, she was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable about the location. We are looking forward to speaking to her again.
Madison is an amazing agent that helped me sign my lease and answered all my questions. She made sure my move-in was as easy as possible and I couldn't be more happy. If you have any questions, ask for her.
Madison is #1! I have found myself yet again needing to come back to Northside and Madison took such good care of me. My apartment was perfect! After moving in, Madison has gone over and beyond to help me. I found a roommate and didn't even know about a referral program going on and nonetheless Madison surprised with an awesome gift on my portal. If you are looking for top notch customer service and apartment, talk to Madison!
I normally don’t leave reviews but there’s on person in particular that went above and beyond for me. Madison was so great! She answered every question I had and gave me a wonderful tour. She made the move-in so easy and I can’t thank her enough for everything!
