I have been going to this church since the death of our first child. This church has been very accepting, compassionate and loving and has watched our family grow since that time. The pastor there is the BEST I have ever seen. He is patient, kind and delivers a very powerful, truthful message every Sunday. His sermons combine historical context (love that and preachers rarely do that), present day application, and overall God's purpose. He's humble and hard-working. He's set the church on the path to reach out to the community - ALL of the community - no matter status of a any kind and help. He believes a church should be in the community and not in a building and is making actions to live toward that goal daily. I noticed that someone left a poor comment and I am confused as to why. My only explanation it that it was for another church with a similar name who has less accepting convictions. Feel free to visit the website, listen to a pod cast and you'll see that this is a great place to go!

I believe the person who wrote the two star review is confusing Westbury Baptist Church with Westboro Baptist church. We get that a lot. I have been at Westbury for over 25 years. It is now and has always been a church centered in love. There is no future or value in hate. We support those who defend us and our doors are open to all.

I know the pastor and many of the members personally. This is a great church. The church has a sincere heart to make a difference in their community and to represent the love of Jesus Christ. They are NOT to be confused with that other "baptist" cult in Kansas.
