Dr Mitchell is my favorite veterinarian of all time. He doesn't waste time with bells and whistles, and doesn't try to scare you into unnecessary treatments. I think this is why he has openings in the schedule, while wait times for an appointment at other vets can be months out. He is focused on the pet's quality of life, and runs an efficient and affordable vet practice. I trust him 100% on both diagnosis and treatment plans. The manager/vet tech Liz is also fantastic - super kind, steady, and quick. She is calm with my behavioral nightmare dog. They run a lean operation together, and neither of them call my dog my "fur baby" or send him birthday cards. They just make sure he's a safe and healthy dog. I've referred a lot of people to Westport Animal Hospital, and I always get a "thank you so much" message afterwards. Very nice staff and Dr my babies were treated awesomely! As well as myself. Idk how they shave one of our babies Kitterz is a bit overweight and cannot clean herself so she’s gotten a few uti’s poor thing on a diet now but she is a long hair 3 year old Bombay ‍ and He shaves her bottom to help keep her clean . She doesn’t like it but he’s never hurt her . She’d rather have Mum clean it for her wich I do as well. But they take her in the back to do it but it’s over quick so that’s a good thing! Yes they are a great team over there That’s why we drive from downtown because they are nice and they are also professional 5 stars Karman Danecek & David Geymont , Miss Kitterz & Sister Gracie , we all thank You very much! I took my baby girl to this vet almost all her life, simply because it was the closest to my house; she had some health issues along the way, and any time it got complicated, he would literally throw up his hands and halt the search for a solution. The final straw was when my ex had to put this sweet blind boy in photo to rest. We walked in to the sounds and literal vibrations from a workout place next door, along with what seemed like an unusually busy and noisy day at the clinic. We were put in one of the standard tiny, cold exam rooms up front. Dr. Mitchell came in and asked, "Have either of you done this before?" We had not, to which he responded, "Well, you're in for a very unusual experience." Um, okay. Then he had us hoist the poor guy up onto the exam table, grabbed his leg, and inserted the needle - no sedative, just skipped to the final step. Yelled at the dog when his leg twitched. Sweet boy was gone in 5 seconds, just collapsed in my ex's arms and onto the table. Vet left the room without a word. Later when we were ready to leave, he yelled from the back, "We'll take care of it." Wow. To all those who might love this place for the price, just remember you get what you pay for. Today, I lost my Hayden. Thank goodness we had switched to another nearby vet, where they actually get to know and love each pet, and they do everything they can to research problems and develop a litany of possible solutions. We were shown to a separate building with comfortable couches and chairs, and loving, compassionate vet and tech, who not only gave us the first sedation dose to allow time for goodbyes, but they also did everything with Hayden lying on a favorite blanket on one of the couches. Night and day, don't you think?

The veterinarian was super kind, extremely knowledgeable, informative, and has affordable prices. I will continue all of our services for my tiny poodle/ terrier who is 15 years old. We recently moved from IL to KY and I was really worried with how she would handle a new vet. He was amazing!

I would honestly give no stars if I could. Dr. Mitchell is a masogynistic, condescending, arrogant, demeaning person. He doesn't listen to you and frankly, he needs to go ahead and retire already. Ridiculous this man is even still practicing!

Dr. Mitchell has been my husband’s family vet for 20+ years. We are not local but when my fur baby was injured and my small town vet was not equipped to perform the necessary surgery; we knew who to call. Yes it was a drive for us but Dr. Mitchell saw him the next day and had his surgery completed in a manner of hours. He is a top notch veterinarian; reasonably priced and has your pet’s best interest at heart. We are so grateful to have our little guy on his way to a full recovery.

This is the best and most affordable veterinarian in the area. They truly care about you and your fur baby. They will ensure that no time is wasted on saving your pets life. Dr. Mitchel is absolutely phenomenal, and did everything he could to save my lil Pumpkin my black cat. No other hospital or vet in the area was willing or able to help, and if they could, they attempted to charge me thousands of dollars. The care me and my pet received from here was exceptional, and I will never take my Pumpkin anywhere else.

Dr Mitchell has always been very kind, and attentive to all of my pets needs over the years. He is a very nice and great Animal Doctor-Vet. I recommend his office highly.

Love this vets office! Dr Mitchell is so nice and caring. And the staff are all super sweet! So glad we found this little gem to take care of my fur babies!

Some neighbors who I didn't know at the time had their dog accidentally get loose from their yard. I found their dog because around a block away from my house, a car accidentally hit her when she ran across a busy street, so I scrambled to find the dog some help. Their dog was ultimately ok cast on a leg to heal it, but when the accident occurred, a few offices I called did not seem like they were able to offer much immediate help, even the vet's office I had been going to for some time. Dr. Mitchell and his clinic didn't even think twice about the situation and said to bring the dog, which they subsequently helped. I couldn't tell you how grateful I was to him and his office for their help, and at that point I knew it was time for a change for my own dogs. I am glad I made the change. I really appreciate Dr. Mitchell, his office, and the care they have provided to not only my own dogs, but to a dog no one even knew at the time.
