Their cocktails and food are great! The menu is online and just need to scan QR code to pull it up on your phone. The place is not big but you can sit comfortably. Price is a bit on high. There is a happy hour from 4-6 and 10-close! So you can good food and great price and a discounted drinks: Plan well to find a parking space during weekend night’s.
Happy hour steak frites for the win! What a fantastic price and what a fantastic little steak meal. Perfectly sized to be able to grab a dessert after or a few drinks beforehand. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the fries were great. The first truffle fries I’ve tried that weren’t kick you in the mouth truffle flavor. The cheese platter was fantastic as well. The homemade jam was delicious and the various cheeses weren’t your run-of-the-mill, common cheeses that you see at budget restaurants. Overall, we were very happy, and our server was great too. As a bonus, they have a solid whiskey lineup to choose from for all of my bourbon guys. 5/5 across the board!
We came here for Sunday brunch, and it was amazing. They have cool ambiance, and would definitely be a good date night spot at night. Our server was really helpful. The apple beignets get a NOLA stamp of approval!.. super soft, thick, had apple chunks, well-balanced sweetness.. some of the best I've had anywhere! The quiche was was also excellent, and everybody at my table was very happy with their plates. Brunch at Westport Cafe is very inexpensive for the super high quality you get. That's enough motivation to come back for dinner next time.
Such a lovely place with a nice quiet ambiance. Every food item I’ve ever tried here has been delicious. The black truffle risotto was especially good. The lamb Ragu was on point and the steak is cooked to perfection every time. This is one of my favorite places in Westport because the food is good and they are open late and the staff is literally so nice every time.
Loved the atmosphere here. Our host was superb. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and you can tell how passionate he was about his employer and his job. Food presentation was marvelous. The food itself tasted wonderful just as much. We enjoyed every dish we ordered. The risotto was amazing! And the mojito? Get it! Best mojito I've had.
Really enjoyed the food at this place. We were doing something nearby when we decided to get food, as we were both hungry. This was one of the closest places that was open at 4pm, so we went inside. There was a lot of seafood on the menu, which I wasn't really feeling, but my picky eater devoured the steak, and I got a tasty burger though it was so big I had to leave a lot of the bun on the plate! I definitely would eat here again the next time we pass through. Kid-friendliness: No issues bringing my 7 year old with me, and we just happened to arrive during happy hour.
Best restaurant in Kansas City. The food is a combination of perfect execution and delicious flavors, it truly felt like I was back in Paris! The service was spectacular, it makes Westport Cafe standout among their peers. Our waiter gave great recommendations and was truly passionate about the food and drinks. Get the Lamb Bao and the Burgundy Forest Escargots, two truly stand out items. The Bao was incredibly flavorful and the Escargot is not overly buttery and includes mushrooms! I don’t write reviews but this is my third visit with consistently amazing food and service.
Really enjoyed it! The Sea Bass with the tiny potato chip crust was like a fun French version of deconstructed fish and chips. Drinks, desserts and sides were enjoyed by all. Will come back next time in KC. Oh... At least for now Tuesday's the steak is a special. Saw many people in the restaurant order it, so it must be pretty good. Would have gotten it except we've had a bunch of KC BBQ already.
Visiting from Dallas, I wanted a spot for a late dinner and a nice drink with my girlfriend. This place was perfect. The food was amazing, and John our waiter, was kind and great to talk too. Would HIGHLY recommend this place for a night out with great conversation.
Guess it’s been awhile since I’ve been in a city city because you need a reservation, well it’s preferred, though they do have free for all bar top seating if you didn’t make one. Ok to the thing that matters, the food. I’m not an egg eater which most of the brunch menu is. Usually weary about ordering French toast because sometimes it’s too soggy for me. Gave it a chance here, and sheesh I would have to say they were some of the best French toast I’ve had. The caramelized apples, whipped cream, the vanilla sauce - smacking, delicious, oh so good. The soufflé pancake was just as good with the raspberry sauce it came with. To the aesthetics and atmosphere: has the European vibes with its small and quaint decor and food selections. If you can’t get into Snooze, an A.M - this is a great trade off which is only up the street and around the corner.
