What a great farmer's market! And right by the water. Products are top notch and it really feels like a nice little New England town market.... Which is exactly what Westport is of course! About 30 merchants ranging from honey to Thai food to mushrooms to beer.
It is clear that the vendors participating in this event are of a certain caliber, however, it is unfortunate to note that the Operations Director, specifically the woman in question, falls short of this standard. Her actions, such as ejecting the speaker from Raus Coffee and Local Catch due to a perceived lack of 'local' products, and her subsequent complaints about the quality of the face covering worn during a pandemic, are highly unprofessional and indicative of a lack of understanding of both proper protocol and basic common sense. Furthermore, her attempts to enforce her own rules, regardless of those put in place by the state of Connecticut, only serve to further undermine her credibility and position. It is recommended that individuals seeking a more enjoyable and professional experience avoid this particular establishment, and instead visit farmers' markets in neighboring towns such as Darien, New Canaan, and Greenwich, where they will undoubtedly be welcomed with open arms and not subject to such controlling and senseless behavior.
Excellent farmers market. Many different products.
LOVE this market. Super high quality vendors with the freshest produce and food items. Everything is exactly what's in season at the moment. The vendors love to take the time to talk to you and answer questions. Great selection of gluten free baked goods from many vendors. Rotating vendors add something new each week in addition to the weekly regulars. AND it's an awesome spot for lunch before or after shopping! Lots of lunch choices between regular vendors and weekly food trucks. Yum!
Good quality vendors at this market. Artisan style baked goods to cheeses. Fish, meat, produce and lunch can be had here. $40 membership will get you some discounts at booths. Broad Fairfield county definition of a farmer's market with prices that reflect the location.
My favorite farmers market in the area. Always a new booth to discover.
A great selection of farms and vendors that do no disappoint. Bread, pies, fruit, fish, meat and a lot more are fresh. I will really miss this weekly event - Thursdays 10-2 - after they close it down in the fall...
Besides great veggies and fruit, there are bakeries, a couple of food trucks, cheese, fish, and meat from area sources. The tamale stand is yummy. A wonderful community gathering place.
