What's the Scoop?

I love this place! I try and make it to What's the Scoop anytime I'm in Portland. They have a wonderful variety of flavors, and they rotate seasonal flavors in and out depending on the season. They have a fortune cookie waffle cone that I love. My favorite topping is the toasted marshmallow. Basically they put marshmallow cream on your ice cream an toast it with a blow torch. it smells great and is fun to watch. They also have fresh baked cookies filled with whatever flavor ice cream you like. If you have a huge appetite or a good group of friends they have a huge ice cream sundae with everything you could ever want in it.

Fun place with creative and delicious ice cream flavors. They will give you samples on a real spoon (I hate the feel of those wooden sample spoons). We went on a warm, spring evening and the had all of the bay doors open-- great atmosphere.

Suck it Salt & Straw! My husband and I decided to forego the line around the block for aforementioned ice cream joint and found this gem. Amazing homemade waffle cones with a decadent chocolate plug in the bottom. And the ice cream!!! SO GOOD! This place is fantastic!

So very happy we stopped in. Not only was the staff very kind the in house made ice cream was AWESOME!!! And I have never heard of or had a fortune cookie waffle cone before this visit! Let’s just say Heaven! The magic shell on top of the cone is a must try. Super clean and very very well kept. There was also cookie samples which were phenomenal. 🍪

Just epic ice cream and sublime cookie sandwiches. One day, I hope to have a group tackle the gorge. Said it feeds 30 to 40!
