To: Senior Mechanic Isaac Richardson, If you’re looking for a local bike shop that has the knowledge, and personal friendly service go here. I went in and had very low expectations of customer satisfaction, but was quickly greeted while the only Mechanic was working with another person. I could see that he really cared about his work and didn’t seem at all frustrated by being overwhelmed by multiple customers coming in and out, and the business phone ringing. Isaac got my Canyon road bike on the stand and I saw his true craft go to work. It’s hard to find quality trained professionals who not only have the knowledge but have the heart to care. Thank you so much Wheel & Nuts Bike Shop!!!!!
Super great service here! I own a fairly idiosyncratic bike that I purchased online. When I had an issue with a shifter cable over Memorial Day weekend and another shop in Old Town that shall not be named refused to service me, Wheel Nuts had me up and running the next day and replaced the cables!
Been meaning to post - we've used this bike shop for perhaps a decade? since moving here and it's always great. on two recent visits, Luke gave great friendly and quick service, once to fix the brakes on my long tail cargo bike tolerating my preschooler's daring-do around the shop and once to fix a flat on my road bike. This shop put my e-cargo bike together when I got it. They fixed my road bike when it fell off the back of our car... don't ask, makes me sad to this day. I've gotten great, knowledgeable advice and explanations from Ray and generally I'm just appreciative this spot with these folks is in my backyard.
After going to Wheel Nuts Bike Shop today, I won’t be going anywhere else. Luke gave me outstanding customer service - he was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond, helping me take my bike off the rack on my car and putting it back on after, my tire was grinding against my tire guard and he adjusted it so quickly, free of charge. I asked him to replace my brake pads and it took no time at all. He helped the other clients efficiently and with a positive demeanor. Anytime I want to fix up my bike or upgrade, I’ll be here, supporting local!
You can go see Ethan and Ray at Wheel Nuts or you can waste your time and money. Every time I'm there, they surprise me twice. Once with the ability to quickly diagnose a problem more complex than I thought and again by charging me less than half of what anyone else in town charges. I'm almost hesitant to review so they don't see that I'd pay double what they charge for the service they provide. I trust them with my work commute bike completely. I've tried every option in town and these guys have made me a lifelong customer.
Great local bike shop! We bought some slightly used recumbent bikes Cruzbikes online which we needed to have put together. We live right near Wheel Nuts so we brought them there for assembly. Even though Ray at Wheel Nuts may not have realized what he was getting into, he took on the challenge and worked closely with the Cruzbike company to ensure he was doing it correctly. Our bikes are basically the opposite of a normal bike as they are "front wheel dirve." That said, Ray put them together in a shorter amount of time than they first thought, and also directly worked with the manufacturer to have some missing and broken parts sent to him. He also did a great job of learning how to fit us for the recumbent bikes as there are lots of little extra bits that have to be custom fit. Since our original assembly a couple of weeks ago, we've also bought lots of accessories which Ethan has been very helpful with purchasing and installing. I'm sure we'll need lots more in the future and we'll continue to keep going back to Wheel Nuts.
Best shop in town! Received a bike in the mail which needed wheel truing and minor brake adjustments. Isaac, the senior mech, took care of those issues in about 20mins at a very fair price. Extremely knowledgeable and more importantly, approachable. A lot of bike shops have a bad habit of talking down to “lesser life forms” that can’t afford a $5,000 Cannondale. Happy to say this is NOT one of those shops.
Disappointed after my last 2nd visit - I brought my bikes in August, not for any repairs but to swap 2 things handlebars & rack it was abt $70. I didn’t get to ride much after due to an injury but noticed a rubbing sound few times I did ride one, brought my bike back in September for them to fix the tire rubbing now happening from them swapping the rack before - I was charged over $50 to fix their own work? Still scratching my head that I was the only one who saw that as unfair ?. And as a guy there was told his full on repair was free as a follow-up ?.
Reading the reviews I was optimistic about Wheel Nuts Bike Shop. The first ride I went on after getting my bike back from this shop, my chain split in half and fell on the asphalt. Unfortunately I had just had $400 worth of work done on my bike - which included gearing and a new chain. So disappointing. Dropping a chain is extremely dangerous - stepping on the dead pedal I nearly lost control and fell over the handle bars. The thought of this happening to a young rider or anybody for that matter is troubling, and I cannot recommend.
The absolute nicest and most helpful guys I've ever come across. Often times bike shops get a bad reputation of being stuck up or a bit rude, but these guys couldn't be further on the opposite side of that stereotype. I pass at least five other shops to get to Wheel Nuts, and I'll absolutely continue using this shop over others. Thank you guys!
