Born just before St. Patrick's Day, 2017, Whelan's Irish Pub aims to provide the finest Irish and American food, drink, and entertainment in SE Portland. Come in and have a round with friends, enjoy some Irish-inspired pub grub, watch a sporting event on TV, or catch a live show in the comfort of our little slice of Ireland. Minors are welcome until 9 PM, so bring the family! Happy hour from 3-6 PM Monday through Friday and weekend food specials mean you're sure to find what you're looking for!

It is exactly what you would expect / want in an Irish pub. Good reasonably priced food. Great drinks that are strong and delicious, and yeah I am even talking about the margarita I ordered. It is a great place! We kept coming back and ordered almost everything on the menu. Fantastic place for locals and the just visiting.
I I've been there three times now and the food gets better and better the service gets better and better and I really have nothing negative to say about the place The Establishment is great bartenders are great food is great drinks are great customers are great patrons are great all in all 5 out of 5 stars
Pool tables, beautiful outdoor covered area with a cute chubby cat to pet if you want and amazing bartenders. It has such a friendly chill vibe. I noticed people picking up food, I didn't have food though just well made drinks.
