Great food! The sauce is delicious and a flavor unique to only Whitmore's! But don't come if you're in a hurry. Especially if your order is large. It's definitely worth the wait for sure!!
I was visiting the area for the weekend And we ended up checking out Whitmore's barbecue especially because I love barbecue and I'm always looking for great tasting barbecue from a venue other than a franchise or a commercial chain And Whitmore's bar-ba que is definitely and a original What I can say is when I did go the atmosphere was good the effort of the staff we're good the ribs were definitely good and the truth I love how they serve them over a pile of fries drenched in sauce the barbecue sauce definitely is good with a unique flavor but the sides I have to be truthful need work the candied yams and macaroni and cheese I will speak on because I ordered both my wife ordered the perch fish platter It was too Salty overly seasoned And the desserts need work 1st visit I got a slice of lemon cake got it home and ate it it was dry Then I got the caramel cake which was good 1st visit 2nd visit I appreciate it the worker telling me she couldn't give me that which I purchased because it was no good And she gave me my money back that was cool I really appreciate that But overall I would definitely visit again for the ribs alone and the taste of the sauce I think Whitmore's barbecue has a good thing going And I look forward at some point in the future visiting again.
Once Upon a Time whitmore's also known as Mount Pleasant Barbecue on 128th and Kinsman was the place to go and any place that said whitmore's you knew it was going to be quality but over the years things have changed I stopped at the whitmore's on Harvard and Warrensville ordered a rib tip dinner at $14 and when I got home it was roughly three rib tips and maybe four and five actual bones I was not impressed I was not happy and will never go there again it was supposed to have 10 rib tips. If you can't serve quality food, you need not be in business. What you see in the pics are the bones which had no meat on them just sauce.
I have redo this ...this place is so nasty roaches and they over cook the food the people are so rude the owner,s are rude to employee's they can't keep anybody good oh my goodness don't trust the food y'all...Whitmore on Harvard is the spot not to go too..Call and complain you can get more food but you might get sick just saying ..
The chicken wings were overcooked to the point that the sauce couldn't cover it up. The desserts and coleslaw were the only saving grace. Food: 1/5
On 9-6-22 I ordered a catfish dinner. When I got home I found swai. I know the difference in catfish and swai by appearance, texture and taste. PLEASE STOP SWAPPING OUT CATFISH FOR SWAI TO SAVE THE RESTAURANT MONEY OR GAIN MONEY BY CHARGING CATFISH PRICES FOR A CHEAPER FISH!!!! Customers know what they are requesting and what you are not providing. THIS WAS A FAIL! STOP IT!!!
You have your choice of sides for what you like for $16 .the ribs were old and dry .first and last time definitely won't go back!!!Food: 1/5
The shrimp was inedible. I enjoy whitmore's food and I had a taste for shrimp. I ordered it, unfortunately the shrimp were cooked way too hard which made them inedible. Will I go back to Whitmore's, absolutely! Will I get the shrimp again?

Ordered a full slab rib dinner. The ribs were good and tender, but for the price it seems like the sides fries & slaw could have been more in quantity. Customer service was not that great. I stood there for about 2 minutes before some one assisted me and even that seemed to be a struggle. I would go again.
