My kids have gone to Jackson for two years now. So far I have been very happy with the teachers they've had. However, the office staff SUCKS. Everyone in that office is RUDE and I hate when I have to deal with them for any reason, and apparently I am not the only one who feels this way. I should not be made to feel like an intruder in the office of my own child's school. When your job involves interacting with people, you should do it effectively or find another job. In summary....teachers have been great, office staff is unacceptable.
If I could rate this school negative stars I would. The whole school needs to be reevaluated.... The principal doesn't seem to care about anything. When she is actually in the school, she refuses to meet with parents, dismisses students like they are bothersome, and even refuses to have a PTA. I am not sure that the front office staff knows how to smile or be anything other than rude. Since we have started at this school, I have seen more staff leave than I can count....we are talking over 10 in one school year alone! My children are getting a sub-par education, and they refuse to help those that are excelling. Only hold them back. If I could I would send my children else where. Since that is currently not an option we are thinking of homeschooling until we are able to move at the end of this school year. I really hope the district and the staff members at Jackson read this and make changes, sadly I doubt that will happen.
This school needs to be re-evaluated in how they are interacting with these kids, and with the parents. I don't feel like my daughter would succeed here. They change staff frequently, which makes room for a unstructured environment. I get a bad note about my daughter everyday, as if she is a bad child. they just sent my 6 year old with 5 pages of homework front and back, the other day. It feels like they are not teaching, I try to get my kids to tell me what they learned, and it does not sound like much. I'm like when they were in day care/preschool, they use to show off what skills they learned for the day academically. Some of the teachers act like they have a bad attitude everyday, or like they in a bad mood. I feel uncomfortable coming to get my child from this school each and everyday, because of these attitude vibes. One day I was 2 mins late literally and my little ones were already in the office. So if you are not there before 4:40 you have to go in the office to get your child, as if they cant wait to leave that school, but anyhow I went to get my little ones and the receptionist was calling one of the kids parent to come get their child. But I guess the parents did not answer the phone, and she told the child, "I dont know where your Mamma is she must have forgot about you, but she needs to come get you." I felt bad that an adult would say that to a child. it was only 4:42. Its not like she was hours late. And the office staff they just need to get rid of, very poor attitudes they have up there. But in my book my kids will not be returning here next year, Im even thinking about leaving this year. And I looked at the ratings for this school on schooldigger, and Greatschools, they had poor rankings, and poor test scores. This school again needs to be investigtated
Jackson is bad and the teachers are even worse. Sometimes kids get in trouble when they didnt do anything. And the mean teachers are the worst.
Jackson was a good school at first then the teachers started to get really rude and they need to get a new learning ways i fell like the school needs to get a new teachers and helpers i never learn how to wrote a paper and all of my test i took i would fail and they would give us big homework packs on fun thimngs the school is fun but to other normal day they are really rude i wish they can help us more and talk to the parent on the homework i gone to Jackson for three years but when 5 grade came i left i dont miss that school just my friends and my 3 grade teacheri hope the school got it stuff controll because im was looking at the comments and they look thesame from 3 years ago.im went to seltzer and i got a good learning and he teachers was really nice i got alot of help.i can thanks a little because i get more help on my work now that in 6th grade.
I hate Jackson because the teachers are so mean they act like there our parents but there not they always get students in trouble they clearly hate Kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Horrible office staff very rude and nitpicky if i could rate a 0 i would the teachers how ever are awesome
