Nice little stop located right by the river walk. Love downtown, grew up down here and really love to have been able to watch its growth! Hope it continues to grow so we can get more people to come visit detroits beauty! For sure check out the river walk and all of its surroundings if in the area, thank me later! Restrooms: Restrooms close by Picnic area: Plenty off spots for a picnic
People ride bike, walk, picnic, roller blades, fish around the boat club. Not a lot of trash in the area, you would see some in the rocks where people left trash when they fish . Just a good place to chill and you follow the riverwalk all the way to GM Renaissance center to get snacks and drinks. Problem is there are not much public parking for this spots so you have to come before 10am to find free parking. If you park on some street near outdoor adventure you will get tickets. $45.
Great little park to walk in, was not looking so good when we were there, still a bit to early but they will be out there and clean it up soon I'm sure. The had all the daisies in and they're looking good. Will definitely be back towards the end of summer to see everything in full bloom and colorful.
Always a great park to stop and get a picture of the lighthouse, walk, people watch and see the water. Parking is always limited and the tore up dirt lot fills up just before dusk. No restrooms if your on the wrong side of the lighthouse. Park hours are STRICTLY enforced.
The park is very clean and well kept. I was there for a charity event, despite living in the city, I'd never been there before. It was a nice walk down to the Princess. I can imagine that it's prettier when the plants are blooming. Parking was kind of an issue, but that's likely more because of the event.
This place is lovely when you try to escape busy city life and just want to go for a walk wit a view. There is a parking lot for free parking.
The hill is newly renovated and back open. Right across from the DNR outdoor adventure center. It offers great views of the river and Canada. They installed 2 new binoculars that correct for color blindness at the top of the hill also that are free to use.
Very nice area to walk along the Detroit River. Lots of people enjoying the day fishing and boating. Very clean.
My husband and I enjoyed running the 4.1 which consisted of a one mile following by the 5 K / 3.1 mile. Our daughter was there for the 5K. It was very nice to be able to do this event in person again!
Great place to spend evenings, crowded most of the time, parking gets full.. great view of Detroit river, trails.. fishing, cycling.. Cycle rentals and lot of lime bikes.. seating.. restrooms.. ice cream shops.. food stalls..
