I lived in this complex from 2015-2022. I had a kitchen counter that I couldn't use because it was painted over, the vent in my room never worked. My water in the kitchen went out in April and wasn't fixed until June. The HVAC never had any filters. The floor was caving in. The fire alarm were over 20 years old. There was a pest problem. Whenever I tried to reach the office or go to the office there was no one there and to top it off when my lease was over they raised it without notice over $300. No one tried to fix any of the problems
Only giving this place one star although they do not deserve any stars. I am a current resident and I have lived here for 5 years. In the beginning it was nice but now within the last few months it is terrible. The new management is rude and snooty and the property manager is the worst at her job. She is condescending and a very hateful person who shouldn't be working with people at all. In June my air was out the entire month. Nobody ever came to check it out and I was told I needed parts and was on "a list". In July they finally sent someone to fix it and the problem was just that it was dirty and needed to be cleaned even though they put in their computer that it needed parts.. proving they never checked it out. I had to call corporate and was scolded by the property manager and was told I wasn't to ever call them again. My faucet in the kitchen has had no water pressure for over 2 weeks and everytime I tell the lady she says that I'm on a "list". The promise of security is false. The cameras they have on their property are for looks and they do not work. Several car break ins as well. I know I'm forgetting something and that's ok because I'll add more later. Please don't waste your time coming here. They are running everyone out by not maintaining the property. Stay far away. I'm on my way out as well. Don't believe the lies that lady tells you. Have a good day.
I am a current resident and have lived here since mid march, and my air has been out for 11 days now with my apartment reaching over 85 degrees. My sisters air in a separate building but same complex has been out since the 10th. My ceiling in the bathroom is coming down, and there is a pest problem, which, in the lease it states that there is mandatory pest control at the end of each month that i only received one time in march when the old company owned it. Haven residential was a decent owner but brookside is not. I have emailed many times, used facebook, and called the emergency maintenance number many times which had a full mailbox until they put a new number yesterday and i get sent to voicemail and the leasing option just hangs up on you. I havent gotten as much as an acknowledgment that i need help. Along with those things I never got any of my maintenance requests taken care of from the many i put in when i first moved in, which they told me to do instead of a move in checklist. This is my last resort to contact someone because nobody is ever to be found at the office.
I would happily leave negative stars if i could. This complex was purchased in April by Brookside Properties. Haven Residential is no longer the owner. They DO NOT answer any communications, they're almost never in the office, they have no maintenance staff. My air conditioning went out on May 10th. It was still not fixed when they evicted me for payments that they REFUSED on June 10th. My sister also lives in the complex currently, her air went out 3 days after mine so May 13th and still today is not fixed despite them stating they had contracted an HVAC repairman to fix the issues. Over 15 units are without air conditioning while we are having record hot days this year. They're being fined for violation of health and safety by the city. They are roach infested and have rats and mice as well. the staircases are unsafe and were added to the violations the were cited and fined for. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Dont move here they have rats & mice. I was walking to the bus stop one day and a rat was walking with me. There are also lots of dead mice laying around in the grass. There was one in my building. They will get in your house. If I could give them a 0 I would.
HORRIBLE, just horrible leasing office is NEVER OPEN! I don’t understand how no one is never in the office !!!! The Laundry room is the most disgusting thing I’ve seen in my life just filthy smh DO NOT RECOMMEND at all don’t let the pictures or in person tour fool you
Rent was pretty cheap when I first moved in. As they started fixing the place up the increase each year was around $70 - $90. I went from $600 to $825 in 5 years. They did a great job of fixing the place up, painting, putting new floors down in some apartments, and much more. They forget one huge thing.....you can't charge that much when the complex is located next to a very bad neighborhood. Very bad crime over the last 5 years and you can't avoid it. Overall....I was pleased with Willow Brook as long as the rent stayed below $800.
The complex has been through some changes in management, but they are on track now. They are trying very hard to make it nicer, and succeeding a bit. It is a safe, quiet place to live. I don't feel uncomfortable and it is a nice area. Other people in the complex are trashy and leave their garbage next to the dumpster, but the office is trying to take care of that. All in all, this is a good apartment complex with inexpensive monthly rent.
The staff is awesome I moved in Nov 2nd and my issues are being addressed appropriately and prompt. Susan is awesome even while out of tbe 9ffice on a personal leave she still making sure my issues are being addressed. She is caring and supportive to the need. They are really trying to change and what they've done so far is great. Ive meet Scott along with the two maintenance guys and they all have been great.
Visited the property and saw the upgrades currently happening. Can’t wait to see the end result!!
