I think it is very European style! Very pretty and quiet! I print some documents there, only accept cash.
Great library. Helpful and kind staff. Not a huge selection but with inter library services you can gain access to a huge number of choices. Lots of natural light and ability to find a quiet space for reading or have a meeting without bothering others
Great place to be if you have a toddler and there's no other activities to engage them on a rainy weekend. They have a great collection of books and a nice corner playroom for kids on the first floor. I wish they have more collections of toys and games available for toddlers.
The place has good collection of books, neatly organized. They can also get books from other locations if needed. Library folks are friendly and very helpful. The location of the library is fantastic, sits right outside the downtown with a view of the aberjona stream. It's my favorite place to visit!! Love it!
Please for the love of god get a legitimate wifi/internet service. For how much money goes into this library - staff, equipment, etc.- there is really no excuse to have internet that disconnects every 5 minutes. It's 2022. Many people who come here come to do work online. It's a wonderful library and it deserves more stars than I'm giving it: gorgeous, tidy, nice staff, plethora of things to rent out. But - even as the United Nations proclaims - internet is a basic human right and necessity.
Most services have resumed. Curbside pick up is still available, but you can now go inside with a mask on and pick up your holds from a shelf. You can even check them out, yourself, with the mobile app, keeping our librarians safe.
Nice library; horrendous wifi. Very irritating if you work using internet, but it's quite a nice space. I've been working here as my main base for remote work for several months. Very nice staff who are very patient and eager to help! All-in-all I'd highly recommend this library
I’ve been to a bunch of libraries, but the one in Winchester is the best so far. They have a large selection which includes movies and video games. There is also a computer area. I typically don’t notice any noise since I wear noise canceling headphones.
Great staff ,great selection
For last few years, the noise level in the Computer and Journals' room has become simply pathetic. The noise level from middle school children has made the place totally unbearable and miserable during and after the school release time. Management is fully aware of the problem but has been ignoring the issue because polite Winchester residents do not complain. The question is whether the place should be a place for serious reading activities than a temporary teenage daycare place for certain residents? The good Winchester name might be jeopardy?
