I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed staying in Wind River. Everyone is so friendly, and the staff will go out of their way. The horseback riding was great fun, and I was moved to be a part of the prayer service with local Native Americans who prayed for us as visitors. The Native American dancing is a MUST SEE on Tuesday evenings. Our room was very clean, and I have high standards. Rates are low, and it's beautiful here.

Haven't been here in awhile. The Philly Cheese Steak is great in the cafe. For some reason though the restaurant did not do so well. It was dry and flavorless. Usually the food is pretty good. Maybe it was a new cook or something. Staff was friendly and it was a nice experience. Just not the best meal that day. From past experiences I can say the burgers and pastas are great.

Hotel room very nice. Also, staff was pleasant and they gave us a better deal upon arrival for signing up with the casino card and being 55 and older. Saved half on our stay.

A review for the regular gamblers out there. This place may be worth a stop if you're passing through and want to have one night of fun and maybe a decent meal. The game selection on the slot machines is good and you can bet as much or as little as your heart desires.
However, for a local who plans on making this a regular place to play, or for those interested in table games, you'll get more value out of another locale such as Wendover, Black Hawk or Deadwood, where you'll find better odds on low minimum table games and the points on your players card will actually get you free play and room offers. I have met Riverton residents who have gone 2 years or more without so much as a lunch comp and have never received a free play or comp offer, even after running 30,000 points up in under a month

For the price, the Wind River Hotel & Casino is a decent lodging option in this part of Wyoming. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well-maintained. There are several food options at the resorts, though my family was less than impressed with the food at the Red Willow. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and there was plenty of parking.
If you plan to stay, get a casino card before you visit, which will allow you to procure a discounted room rate.
