This brewery doubles as a brewery/cafe restaurant. The beer is quite good especially their Raspberry Russian Endings! and the food is shockingly good for a brewery. It’s not your standard brewery ambience but if you’re looking for a weekend day drink or casual meal, you can’t go wrong here. The staff is also stellar.
Great beer, delicious food, good service, cool vibe! Absolutely recommend the fried chicken sandwich, and Russian Ending. The highlight was definitely biscuit with Chipotle Maple sauce.
AMAZING local brewery! Great vibe inside, and the first time that both my boyfriend and I loved our beers. Can't say enough good things about the kitchen - easily the best pulled pork we've had in Boston. Wonderful gem!
Went for lunch and had a fish hamburger with a beer can’t remember the name but I like it + customer service was fantastic.
I work next door and enjoy their food it’s just the level of service you get isn’t up to par with 2023 standards. #1 you can’t call them. Phone number on toast and google don’t match and both don’t work.#2 when you order in the morning from toast app they use to order online the egg sandwich, the options for what bread are biscuit, croissant, and no bread but there description under egg sandwich says it comes with Portuguese roll. You have to choose one of the three options for bread so I chose no bread thinking I’d get the Portuguese roll. When I received my order and opened the container to no surprise I saw just bacon, cheese , and egg with no bread LMFAO . This is a joke as I only chose no bread thinking I’d get the Portuguese roll as I didn’t want the other options biscuit or crossant. Do better guys it’s 2023 SMH
To kill sometime, I stopped in for a beer while waiting. Got the Bright Lights, Big City, which was very good. I've always loved the ambiance of the place since they opened; Food is good, if slightly on the higher price side. Staff is always very accommodating and wait times acceptable. My only grip was the beer. Almost across the tap line, always seems the beer is a little too green and they should have waited a little longer to tap it. My last few trips I have thought otherwise and today's beer was no exception. Delicious!
Winter Hill Brewing is an unpretentious, semi-hidden treasure!! It’s a small place with limited seating inside, but a lot of seating outdoors in good weather. The food is served on trays with plastic “silverware”, but the quality of everything is top notch!! Their beers are fantastic! They have about 6 beers at any given time, but cover a good range from dark ales, to IPA’s and a lager. The food is what sets it apart from other breweries. It’s a limited menu, but the head chef worked in fine dining and then did training around the country in working with meat and it shows!!! Check the menu online before you go because they do special days on Tuesday’s and Saturdays. The “sticky meat” is delicious! The sides are all great, particularly the whipped potatoes and the cauliflower mash. Finally, the apple crisp dessert is to die for! ENJOY!
I was honestly pretty disappointed with this place, because a lot of people seem to like it. Dinner isn’t served past 8pm on a Friday, which is kind of odd and unfortunate— but not the end of the world. The only food was pigs in a blanket and soft pretzels. Went with the soft pretzels, and it was four 2.5-3 inch pretzel sticks drowning in salt for $12 — very overpriced for what you get. The spicy mustard is loaded up with such a lethal amount of horseradish that it should be considered a chemical agent. The beer cheese was rock solid in a small plastic cup instead of liquified, and they almost immediately ran out of beer cheese. Very few beers on the menu, and the liquor store across the street has the same variety, and I can buy a 4-pack of the same beer for the price of one beer at the brewery. I really wanted to like this place, and maybe it’s better at certain times of day when the kitchen is open, but based on my experience today, wouldn’t recommend. Our waitress was nice though!
Beer, dinner and weekend brunch - excellent addition to the neighborhood. Rotating beer list and beers to go for sale. Wide range of beers being brewed on premises, so something for everyone. Brussels Sprouts are incredible.
These folks have helped me make it through lockdown They've got order ahead and pickup at sbmeat.com, and I think they just opened up today for some outdoor seating! Plus their Large Iced Regular is probably the best coffee stout I've had and I've had a lot. Wish y'all could deliver through Drizly or something
