I’m visiting from Arizona. Regina is phenomenal with the clients. As she served dinner she danced and sang to the clients. I saw many of them smiling and laughing. She brought joy to the entire room. It’s wonderful to see someone who loves their Job and serves the patients as if each one was her own family. Well done Regina.
Woodholme Gardens I was excited about the transition and what Woodholme claimed to offer its residence. I had already developed a pre-conceived idea of how such a facility was like based on my limited exposure of what I had seen on television. Yes, I was a bit worried but still anxious! The move-in was flawless but the first few weeks of coordination were a bit rocky. The staff members appear warm and welcoming despite the few hiccups I faced. My family worries often, and I can always count on them to help resolve issues no matter the situation. Staff members have made honest efforts to ease my transition and suffice it to say. It seems that some members are more enthusiastic than others regarding service which can be expected. I understand this is the time that each of them is learning how to collaborate with me and providing the required services as I too am learning each of them. I do look forward to engaging with all of them for a more enjoyable relationship with them all. I have been here for just short of a month, and I have found my stay to be comfortable. I have gotten to know some of the staff members, and each have shown professional courteous attitudes toward me. At this time, I will not dwell on the things that are not right because I have faith in the staff that they will correct those issues that happen from time to time, but instead, I’d like to acknowledge all the employees for their services and the demanding work they do every day. I know it is not always easy working in this environment with so many people relying on you for so much. My sincere thanks to each of them. I would like to personally acknowledge Ms. Janice who has been one of the attendants who help with my care. She always makes it her mission to stop in and check on me. She has often taken the initiative to do things that are the duties of someone else. I cannot thank her enough for always being concerned about my well-being and making me feel special and welcomed. Ms. Janice has a warm caring heart that flows from her gentle presence. She has always taken my concerns serious and addresses them promptly. I never have to remind her about an issue. If she says she will address the issue or get someone else to address the issue, she does exactly that. I would also like to make an honorable mention for Ms. Vanessa who consistently show caring and compassion every day. She has gone beyond to make my living here at Woodholme Gardens so pleasing and enjoyable. I would like to let everyone know that she has truly found her calling for caring for others. Additionally, I would like to thank Ms. Shaunett D. the Med Tech. She was one of the first persons that saw me on a regular basis and from day one, she made me feel like she really cared. She would often talk to me and put my mind at ease as she knew this was all new to me. She exemplified the care, knowledge, and professionalism that I expected from all the staff and should serve as a beacon for others to strive to emulate her service for me and others. Thank you so much for your kind words and caring smile, it always make my day better. I cannot forget the concierge team. These women are often the first call for help. Their days consist of countless tasks and so many people making so many requests of them for service and help. You all are a part of the backbone of the infrastructure and responsible for the machine to run well. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for always being so nice and smiling. I know it cannot always be easy to cater to all the demands, but you deserve the utmost respect for the important roll you play in maintaining Woodholme Gardens as you perform you difficult, demanding jobs. In conclusion, I would like to share my thanks to the entire leadership team that assisted with my transition. I know you all work extremely hard to accommodate the residence here at Woodholme Gardens and it absolutely shows with the talented staff and beautiful facility that is our home. Betty C.
My loved one has been at Woodholme Gardens for 5 months. While the staff is creating a safe and secure environment for my loved one as he adjusts to the limitations of the pandemic and a new environment; the caring staff has also been providing my family with much needed peace of mind and comfort as well. The management teamSuzi & Jennie has provided updates to our family and continue to partner with us in maintaining the quality of life that he has been accustomed to enjoying. Heartfelt thanks to the entire Woodholme Team including the concierge team, nursing team, direct care team, food services, finance, housekeeping and maintenance team. A special thanks to Mary, Sophia, Psalm, Sheena and Michelle. With Gratitude, Our Family
Woodholme Gardens is a great place to work. I love coming to work for my residents, families and team members. My team members are some of the the best people that I have worked with. They are dedicated to our residents and showed up every day ready to take care of them. During this COVID-19 pandemic they have proven over and over how much they love and care for our residents by showing up every day without any complaints while leaving their families at home. They have gone above and beyond to to put our residents families mind at ease during this pandemic, when they were not allowed to visit. They have worked countless hours to make sure that our residents are well taken care of and are safe. We have an amazing team and I just want to thank all of them for their hard work and dedication. If you're looking for a place for your mom or dad Woodholme Gardens would be a great choice. We are all here with open arms ready to welcome them, and give them great care.
“Experienced leadership, welcoming staff and happy residents!” I visited Woodholme Gardens recently and can’t stress enough how excited I was to see the residents engaged in activities, the delicious menu offerings and the positive attitudes of the care staff. Kevin Jones, Director of Sales, was knowledgeable of his Senior living competitors and respectfully challenged me to find a better local option that could serve my Dad’s care needs AND stay within my budget. I pleased to say “I could not!” Thank you, Sharon Executive Director, and others for making the choice for my Dad’s next home so easy. I am truly grateful for the guidance provided by the team at Woodholme Gardens.
This Five Star Rating is ONLY for these individuals and not the community. Like any community, there are areas in need of improvement and staff who need soft skill training for me to make Woodholme a five star community. Because I have some serious care and trust concerns, I have had to hire an additional care assistant for my loved one. There is work definitely and seriously needed by leadership at Woodholme to make it better. These individuals stand out to me the most and are to be commended for their service. A HUGE "Shout Out" to Psalm Lipscomb, one of the Activities Program Specialists for his professionalism, compassionate, and caring manner he exhibits when interacting with my loved one and my family. It means so much because it is a quality and skill set that is rare in some of our Senior communities. Psalm goes above and beyond to make my loved one feel special and engaged. In the Nursing Department, Nurse Jackie and Nurse Lucky are also to be commended for their compassion and care. When I need assistance for my loved one, they are quick to respond. Tonya, one of the Care Aides has a great since of humor. She tries to calm stressful situations with that humor. She is to be commended for her care. Stewart Roszel in Food Service has been helpful in sending me the weekly menus and stopping in to take my loved one's meal orders while meals were restricted to in-room dining. Thank you to these individuals for your dedication and care. I do commend those who have stayed during the pandemic. Their dedication is also appreciated. Thank you!
My dad recently transitioned from independent living to Woodholme Gardens. The entire process has been professional, caring and an extremely positive experience. My father is feeling happy, safe and secure. The entire team have been simply outstanding. Special thanks to Tracey Watson and Laurie Delucia for overseeing and coordinating all details and putting things into motion. We did our due diligence when selecting the right place for our father. The reviews we had read for Woodholme always seemed to sing their praise. Now we understand why!
Woodholme has been a great place for my mom who suffers from dementia. Not only do they provide her great care, but they have managed to not have had any COVID cases during the pandemic. They restricted access early and have reintroduced family visits in a safe and responsible way. The Activity Department Lisa and Psalm has been especially wonderful coordinating outdoor visits to see my mom, with masks and social distancing in place. I can't say enough about the wonderful job that they have done and the excellent care they provide for my mom.
Genifer has been my eyes, ears, and my heart during the time of COVID. She's my husband's ambassador during this long and very difficult pandemic. Genifer enabled me to see and talk to my husband during the shutdown. There are too many examples of consideration to address. Among the top was when she eased my fears after my husband fell an had to go to the hospital. She Facetimed me when he returned to Woodholme, enabling me to see he would be okay with my own eyes. She gave comfort when I was unable. I will never forget her genuine kindness. Before the pandemic, I knew everyone that cared and watched over my husband. I consider the caregivers part of our family. Because of the epidemic, I'm unaware of the exact staff who currently cares for my husband. I wish I knew you deserve to be named. You have kept the residents safe when humanity is struggling with the virus's spread. I am genuinely thankful for your care. When I call or visit, Mary never fails to be kind and welcoming. She checks-in on how I’m doing and shares with me her recent encounter with my husband. When I ask for assistance, she seeks out the individual who can help me. Once, I called to see if my husband had returned from the hospital—he hadn’t yet. The moment he returned, she called me! It was scary to visit my husband with late-stage Alzheimer’s disease after a six-month hiatus because of a global pandemic. I had no idea what to expect. Psalm’s calm and friendly manner made the visit comfortable. He told me he was available anytime I needed his assistance. Because of COVID, I needed to rely on others with tasks I would once do myself. I was fortunate that Psalm provided unsolicited help by overseeing my husband’s haircut. He even called me for grooming preferences—I like that, and I know my husband would agree. It’s the kind of care I genuinely appreciate. When someone is in memory care, each birthday is significant to honor. My son and I had planned a birthday visit. Unfortunately, when the day came, it was raining. I called Lisa Sullivan, and she made the visit possible while maintaining the COVID requirements. We were extremely thankful for her understanding and care.
It is a very difficult time with not being able to see our father on the memory care unit and we rely on the ears and eyes of staff for good communication on how he is doing health wise. Psalm and Lisa have been extremely flexible and accommodating in scheduling family visits. Psalm has gone the extra mile with contacting me when barriers occur and offering rescheduled visits. It' s nice to know that you care. Stewart has been another gem with taking the extra time to get my father downstairs for family visits .He is persistent as well as respectful.
