You don’t find many of the old style stand alone bakeries anymore now that the supermarket chains have tried to take over the market. But Woodmoor Pastry Shop is that “hidden gem” (well, actually not hidden—it’s easy to find in the Woodmoor Shopping Center at Four Corners in Silver Spring) that still exists and makes great breads, pastries and cakes. They do a particularly nice job of cake decorating and have even customized cakes for us over the years. They are absolutely worth the trip even if you don’t live right nearby. Don’t be afraid if you see a long line—the staff is friendly and efficient so the wait is never too long.

Fabulous local pastry shop. They made three giant, delicious king cakes and fresh donuts for my son's senior class Friday breakfast. Ordered ahead of time, all was ready at the appointed hour with a smile. And all was devoured and much complimented by the students. Have been happy patrons for over 20 years.

BEST bakery ever I have been there practically all my life. Sadly the owner passed away but r.i.p. Cookies , cakes everything is there Have I mentioned that I love it ? ❤️

Great local bakery! They bake fresh bread that you can get slices there. I highly recommend their version of a Whoopie pie called Gob.

Best pies in the world. Just like Grandma's. This place is a gem. I don't bother baking anymore.
