Wooly Mammoth Yarn Shop

Lovely selection of yarn - and a wonderful shop owner. I went in seeking a simple crochet hook with a more ergonomic shape. Diana didn’t just point me to where the crochet hooks were - she brought out her own collection of hooks for me to handle and pulled up other ergonomic options online. She even showed me some of her projects in the back room and answered clueless-me’s questions about the types of yarns she stocks. I had a blast. I left with exactly what I needed the 9mm hook is perfect and super comfy to use!, and I am excited to return again, hopefully with more knowledge under my belt so I can pick up some yarn! Diana is a delight and I enjoy her shop so much. She is so patient and has helped me with yarn selection, accessories and my knitting projects. She hand dyes yarn and while I was in town visiting I stopped by to purchase yarn for a project. The coordinating color wasn’t available in the weight yarn I wanted so she dyed it and had it ready for me on my next visit.

Diana is an incredibly nice and thoughtful person and I really do enjoy her shop. You can tell she's passionate about both the craft and helping people get the right things they need to be successful. She really goes the extra mile and will talk to you about anything without seeming like she's trying to sell something to you, she just lets the yarn, needles and accessories speak for themselves. Also, I believe we should shop local whenever we can and by being a local small business and stocking locally produced/dyed yarns it's a double win to stop by.

Super advice for a newbie looking for a thoughtful gift. I came away with a pattern, 5 bundles of super-soft bamboo yarn in really beautiful colors, and a couple crochet hooks. I entered the store knowing nothing and left with 5 skeins of beautiful bamboo yarn and a plan.

Great store! Very friendly and helpful. I was shopping with a specific project in mind but couldn't resist getting a skein of locally dyed yarn and some amusing stitch markers and yarn cozy

This little shop is a wonderful, unique place to visit! Diana is so friendly and helpful, it was a pleasure to meet her! It was nice to see some yarn in person that I'd previously only seen online. I love her dyed yarn and her adorable logo that pops up around the shop. Good pricing and fun extras. I will visit anytime I'm in the area!

What a great shop! Wish I had this resource near me. We were traveling when I found Diane’s shop. At first this appears to be a normal yarn shop but the hidden treasure is the Lady who owns it and her dying skills as well as her knowledge of nonmerino breeds. Knitters of Omaha, try one of her color work projects with a yarn she recommends. Diane ordered a breed of yarn that we collaborated on, then she custom dyed it for a project we discussed and then mailed it to me for no extra charge, what a bargain and a treasure

Wonderful local yarn shop with beautiful hand-dyed yarns. The owner Diana was so sweet and personable talented, too, I might add--she was working on a sock which was gorgeous. I live over an hour away but plan on returning. Definitely worth the trip!

Amazing! Diana is kind, talented, and very personable. Gorgeous yarns, Ms. Diana hand dyes, and Chiaogoo needles, too. The first time that I visited her store, I was immediately at ease and comfortable. I can't wait until my next visit each and every time!

Prior to finding out about this shop, I was buying all my yarn and things at chain stores. I came in on 12/24 to buy a circular needle for some hats, and liked the shop so much I went back today for a set of interchangables as well as some yarn. Beautiful color and fiber selection, and awesome help/customer service. I’ll be stopping in more often for future projects :
