Master Norton is a patient, proficient, and passionate teacher. He was great! The only reason for the less than Excellect rating is I wanted to provide a warning. My daughter was in karate for about 3 years when we started at the school. She loved it and her goal was to be a black belt. So, it only made sense to join the black belt program. The program is an excellent value if your child continues through the program, which many do. However, my daughter had a change of heart and lost her passion after another year or so and wanted to do a different sport. There is no breaking the contract, so we have paid over $2000 over the past several years and no karate. As Master Watson advised me, "Some parents are too scared to make their kids do what they know is good for them." I do not believe in forcing children to participate in extra-curricular activities. I learned a valuable lesson, though, as I will not ever enter a long-term contract dependent on a child (this is my only child).
The only negative expiences I had at this school were not involving Master Norton, who runs the Madison Heights location, and is amazing.

Proud to be part of this community that gives so selflessly to their students and families.

My son loves going to karate and the summer camp program here. He has learned a lot, including how to control his energy better (still a work in progress, lol) and has lots of fun!

I especially appreciate how hard they work to accommodate me and my family with our changing schedules and varying ranks. We feel blessed to have found them.
