Daniel is my go to guy for keeping my guitars in shape. He is very knowledgeable, detailed and his turn around time is awesome. I am so pleased to have an individual with his level of proficiency being down to earth and dependable and honest. I highly recommend him and believe me I am very picky regarding who works on my guitars.
Daniel is one of those rare gems that only comes along once or twice in a lifetime. His work ethic and attention to detail is unparalleled because he's doing what he is passionate about. I have always taken my equipment to him for any service need because I can trust him 100% that everything will be set up perfectly according to his absurdly high standards as he is a perfectionist. He has repaired and serviced multiple electric and acoustic guitars of mine which needed the utmost care and attention for use in our church praise band. I don't trust anyone else but him for my musical equipment service needs.

The real deal – super knowledgable and patient, worked with me to find my ideal guitar setups for different models and even adjust them afterward to get them just right, advised me on awesome new things to try based on my preferences, and hooked me up with tons of tips and tricks. Also great deals on gear, pedals, etc. at the shop
Xu Strings is very meticulate and precise. He has a great eye for small details in your guitar. He can do virtually anything you want with your guitar, whether it's a setup, coil-splitting, repairs, a custom switch, etc. Rates are very competitive compared to other places, and turnaround time is very quick. I highly recommend taking your guitar to him for any kind of work you might need.
I had Daniel replace a failed active electronics module in my bass with a custom passive circuit, as well as upgrade my pickups. Daniel made some constructive suggestions to improve on an initial hardware design I pitched to him, and I agreed to have him implement his ideas. I'm glad I did, too--the results turned out great! His prices and turnaround times are reasonable, he is very polite, but above all, he is plainly passionate about what he's doing and demonstrably competent. In summary, I can trust him with my instruments and would not hesitate to do business with him again.
