Came in on Tuesday to diagnose some issues with my Guinea pig, Willard, not eating as well as he usually is. They diagnosed the problem within a few hours and got the recommended dental surgery the very next day. All of the staff were super friendly, giving me cool places around Yarmouth to get a bite and hike. Brian behind the front desk was helpful and everyone including Dr. Smith seemed very caring and took great care of little Willard!
Thor has had breathing issues for pretty much his whole life due to his nose being squished in because of his breed. I called many vets and none of them preformed nostril surgery. Finally found Yarmouth Vet Center! Thor had his surgery done but unfortunately the tissue around his nostrils just collapsed making it seem like he had nothing done to them. Dr. Peter did the surgery again taking out as much tissue as he could and thankfully it worked this time! Thor is now able to breathe normally for the first time in his life. Thank you so much Dr.Peter for helping Thor, I’m sure if he could Thor would thank you as well! Everyone who I’ve had to deal with at Yarmouth Vet was very helpful and nice. I will be bringing my animals to you guys from now on.
On Monday morning just after YVC opened the vet I was speaking with at MVMC called to assist me in finding a vet that could do an emergency pyometra spay & YVC was the only vet out of about 20-25 that squeezed my Abbi into their already busy schedule and saved her life. Had they not gone above & beyond by fitting us in and for a much more reasonable price, I would have lost my Princess. All the staff were friendly, accommodating, professional & so kind. The Dr thoroughly explained how surgery went, what to do during recovery and healing & any signs to watch for that would warrant a return visit or concern. The Tech who cared for & brought Abbi out to me was so gentle & loving to her & loved on her lots before saying goodbye. They even gave her rabies vaccine and trimmed her nails for us! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility. I will never go anywhere with my pets, YVC has found themselves several new lifelong patients! Thank you Dr. Smith and all of the wonderful staff, because of you our Abbi is home with us again, on the road to recovery & will continue to live a long, happy & healthy life!! Abbi is doing great & so happy to be back home!
The most amazing people work here, these amazing people are detail oriented, caring, and very nice to talk to. We first brought our family parrot Pete in to go to sleep, despite how depressed we were we decided to bring our future animals babies here. And we did! My parrot Snuggles started coming here, then my mothers dog Dixi. They offer a wide variety of services, such as pet boarding and an exotic animal specialist for lizards, snakes, fish, and of course parrots. Thank you so much for your hard work!!
Brought our cat in without a scheduled appointment within fifteen minutes of my call at 5:30pm! The original appointment was for topical application of the flea and tick preventative. Found out Skippy walked on our newly sealed driveway this afternoon and his paws were covered with tar. The technicians rallied to clean his paws many many times over on the spot! We so appreciate how responsive and caring the staff is here! Thank you so much!
I have nothing but positive praise for everyone that I have interacted with at YVC! From the front staff to the technicians to the Veterinarians. They have seen rats, chickens, ferrets, and cats for my family. They are always kind and understanding. They are very reasonably-priced and they have never turned me away when we have had an urgent issue I cannot stress how grateful I am to them for this. They are a bit of a drive for me but I know that when I get there my fur babies will be treated like family. They have created a lifetime client in me. Thank you YVC for being such a blessing! Also as a side note one of my ferrets recently had surgery planned and I was charged $200.00 Less than I was quoted. Such an amazing group of veterinarians!
Great veterinarian. Surgery on dwarf hamster. Surgery with overnight stay very economical. Got pet tended to in a very timely manner. Would highly recommend. One of few vets that tend these pocket pets.
The Yarmouth Vet Center is always too teir! Treated my baby Wilbert with great care as tho he was one of their own.
