We used Yelling Mule to create a band website for my son's band. We needed photos, video, sample songs, a calendar of his gigs, a way for people to contact us, a shop for future wares, and a blog for news. Matt found a great Wordpress Template, steered us through using Wordpress, youtube and SoundCloud, and spent an hour teaching me how to maintain the site, jonhatchett dot com as a living, working site. When we put up some incorrect content, he replaced it without question. A fine experience.
Our company was looking to refresh the look and functionality of our pre existing web presence. Unfortunately for us, most web design companies did not want to participate in this project because we were not interested in their "complete solution". All we were looking for was some newer/better HTML code that we would integrate into our server-side applications. The folks at Yelling Mule gave us what we needed and continue to help with our integration to our applications. They been a pleasure to work with, and we look forward to an ongoing relationship with them.
What a disaster. If you're a fan of dishonesty, incompetence, poor communication, and waiting, waiting, waiting, and waiting some more, then James Shiner and Yelling Mule are for you. Not to mention excuse after excuse after excuse, ad nauseam. In short I hired James in Oct 2013 to do a job that was estimated to take 81 hours. This means if he averaged something like 3 hours a day, the job would have been done in 27 work days. Instead, after 4 months, only 75% of the work was done and much of that had major technical problems and glitches. I'll spare you all of the tedious details though I may post them elsewhere. Except to say that even though I was paid up in full, after 4 months I couldn't take it anymore and locked him out of the hosting account. In Jan 2015, on my fourth trip to the Lawrence Courthouse, I finally had my day in small claims court with James Shiner and Yelling Mule. James agreed to pay me $2,100 by certified bank check. Instead of the usual 30 days he asked if he could have 45 days and I agreed. The 45 days came and went. James never sent me that bank check. It never ends with this guy.
