They need more accessible cabs that will actually show up when they say they will instead of leaving 2 women and 2 children in wheelchairs standing on the corner waiting for almost 3 hours when they were given an 81/2 hour notice that the cab was needed. They even sent 2 texts confirming and 2 automated calls confirming. The last text was 1 hour before they were supposed to pick us up.
Booked a cab the night before to pick up at 5 am to Reagan airport . Received an automated call 15 min before notifying that a cab was arriving. When I checked out at the hotel at 5 am, the cab was already waiting for me. Driver was helpful, helping loading luggage on and off the car. So far, it was a pleasant ride, on time and courteous.
I called and the came in 7 minutes. Driver was personable. Same cost as the ride share apps but the driver gets paid WAAYYY better. I'm going to keep using local cabs because it support small business owners...
I was here to change a water pump for my vehicle that I already diagnosed the problem other place, I denied to fix my car to this place due to for way overpricing they ask me $1,400 and I decided to take it other shop, after 29 hours. In order to give me my car back they charge me $111.30 They said for diagnosis Which is I verbally told them what to fix cause I diagnosed it other shop .never see the greediest shop ever in Washington DC Shame on you yellow cab. I found other place to fix the same problem under $700 with the same quality and parts even better!!!
They allow for customers to get kidnap by drivers and when you call they claim the driver got fire
Yellow Cab of DC: Happy for those of you that had a good experience. We used the cab service from Union Station on a Thursday during rush hour to take us to our hotel. The following Sunday 8 AM called for a pick up at the hotel to take us back to Union Station. This return trip was double what we paid on Thursday. I questioned the drive he said maybe wasn't as much traffic on Thursday. I told him our trip to the hotel took 20 minutes and this trip took 12 minutes needless to say he had already gotten his gratuity. I called the cab company and was told there was a $2.00 dispatch fee and the lady hung up. With a $2 added charge the cost still does not add up. It wasn't worth calling back. Lesson learned call another cab company or use uber or lyft.
My friend and I booked 2 minivans for 12 people, 12 pieces of luggage and 12 backpacks 3 days in advance for 5am. 2 cars arrived. When we called they were not helpful and had no explanation why they didn’t let us know they couldn’t accommodate us. We were forced to split our students and the last five of us went in an Uber. My friends yellow cab was nasty and full of fast food wrappers. Do better or Uber will be your demise.
Was left stranded in DC late at night! I booked using their ap. It said they were 9 mins away. 20 mins later it said 8 mins away I guessed traffic at the time. It finally showed 3 mins away. Then I get an automated call saying my cab was there. I was standing on a lighted corner in front of the business I listed, no cab visible down either street. I called the number listed and she said the driver had left since I was a no show! Pretty sure I saw a taxi saying Yellow Cab coming from down the street with someone in the back. I requested another cab. Did it over the phone. Unfortunately this left me unable to track on the ap. 40 mins later I called back and was advised there was still no one available. I should have been told that up front or called back and advised! She did apologize a lot, but at 11:20 at night I was pretty upset. Luckily a different cab driver whom I turned away twice because I thought I had someone coming came by a third time and took me to my hotel.
Worst ever experience in a taxi, cab , he was waiting beside Lincoln Monument, said meter wasn’t working and couldn’t take card , I saw him turn off the meter. Said he would only would take cash and demanded it on our way to the Capitol as he thought we wouldn’t pay. I wish I got his name to report this driver. Lesson learned, stick to Lyft.
Yellow Cab DC and their drivers are some ABSOLUTE bull! I was hit by a cab driver, who was issued a citation for failure to stay in his lane. The cab driver has some shoddy insurance, who's giving me the run-around. I call Yellow Cab to see what they do to their drivers who cause accidents & take no accountability and they do NOTHING! I guess now Lawyers it is!
