I needed a leaf blower. They help me pick out the right one for my needs. They showed me how to use it and I was on my way. Great customer service!!!
Great customer service and knowledge. They were friendly and helpful when asked for tips on getting my snow blower running and scheduled a servicing if I can't do it myself. There is a reason they have been around forever and are the engine repair business of choice for the greater Portland area!
Had my snowblower in for a tuneup. was worried about an upcoming storm and they had it back within 3 days. Very happy with the pickup/service performed/and drop off. Would highly recommend !! Thank you Tim!!!
We purchased a used snow blower from Yerxas, and they spent considerable time discussing our driveway size and shape and the pros and cons of various units they had. They showed us how to use it and how to make the components, such as the carburetor, last longer. Their shop repair crew will go over the snow blower to make sure everything is in good working order before they deliver it. When we are ready to buy a new one, we’ll definitely shop at Yerxas again.
I bought a Briggs and Stratton B&S snowblower in February of 2021 from Yerxa. I used it once last year. This year when I used it for the second time, it broke down. It was picked up by Yerxa. I have been on the phone four times with B&S and they will not pay for the labor. But Yerxa has kindly offered to do do the labor free of charge. This is very decent of Yerxa as this was under a B&S warranty.
No show, no call, really?! twice! Called and talk with Chris Monday, he say he would stop by Tuesday the next day, he did not come and did not call. Call the office again Wednesday, first spoke to Tim, he said Chris is out, he would be back in a hour will have he get back to me, No one call, call the office again in the late afternoon, Tim manager page Chris, Chris said to me he got busy and forgot about the appointment, he will stop by Thursday around noonthe next day. Again, no show, no call! Just want to respond to the owner's response: Yeah, you explained 7 months later, hope you will explain that to Chris as well then he should know better! BTW, you never gave the name and phone number of another business that does house calls, stop lying! Your apology is not accepted!
Prompt and thorough repair of my generator at a fair price. Took the time to explain parts and works done. Very pleased with the transaction.
I had a Dewalt chainsaw that was under warranty and was told that they were a authorized repair center. I took the saw in and was told it would be about two weeks. 3 1/2 weeks later I finally had to call them and was told they still hadn’t looked at it. A month later they finally called me and told me that I needed to pay them to ship it to Boston. Very poor customer service.
Not really sure about these folks, One of the women who provides customer service isn't all that friendly and appears rather annoyed most of the time. The guys appear friendly enough and willing to help in most cases. I've ordered parts for a RYOBI generator and there seems to be a problem finding the correct part numbers. I ordered a recoil and it's been on order since the 7th of September. I just found out that it's coming from overseas with no estimated delivery date. Seriously? I also felt I was overcharged for a recoil repair on another generator. I was verbally quoted about $25 plus the cost of the spring $10 so $35 dollars. I get the bill and was charged $42, half an hour of labor for a 15 minute repair. Not sure how much longer I'll be doing business with them. I can't connect the dots on some of this stuff.
These people are the best! They listen, they care, they ask the right questions to figure out the best way to get you what you want, they do not push you towards what they make the most money on, and they give you advice based on what experience tells them you need. They will tell you outright when you may be headed in the wrong direction, or if there is a way you can get what you need without over spending. They are SMART and use that to the customer's advantage. They helped me get hard to find parts for an OLD snowblower and an OLD riding mower. When I finally replaced the old snow blower, I bought the new one from them. A few years later when my needs changed I bought a new snow blower from them. I had no qualms or worries trading the first one in. I just said "take it and give me what you think is fair" They did and they were very fair. They have helped me figure things out and given me good advice when I was doing repairs or maintenance myself. No wonder they have been in bus a long, long time.
