If I could ZERO stars, I would. I wasted my time even going here. Never in my life have I received a bill this high to pay, which mind you else where I have had better service and treatment at other hospitals for cheaper. I have called several times the past two months and was told that I would receive call to discuss bill from supervisor; I HAVE RECEIVE ZERO CONTACT FROM THEM. yet they will have my bill go to collections whenever they cannot call me back as stated they would. This hospital is a joke. The staff especially the old lady taking vitals when you are brought back, is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was in a wheelchair 90% of the visit they stated they had no more beds available, couldn't receive a blanket because they supposedly had none, and did not receive any medicine/IV. I saw the doctor after waiting several hours for only five minutes and he asked if I wanted to go home. I hardly seen any nurse, my husband had to find one whenever I needed a blanket or water. Which my husband had to go to cafeteria to get me a water since no one would actually come back to us If it was not for my husband being with me, I would have been so screwed since he was the only who helped me whenever issues occurred. The ER visit was a waste of time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR GAS.
Brought in by ambulance. Nobody even knew I was in the room. Even though the hospital staff put me in there. 2 hours later still didn't even meet my nurse nor hear anything about a doctor. Needed an x-ray the orders weren't even put in. When I went up to the nurse's counter nobody seemed to have known who my nurse even was. They had no information of what to do with me whatsoever. Lost my Patience and left. Realized I still needed to be seen and still needed an x-ray.. came back. Waited in the lobby due to my own fault of leaving. 2 hours in the lobby.. That's fine I understand that. 3 hours in the back room before I ever saw a doctor. And he told me my x-ray shows arthritis and there's nothing more they can do. After this has been an ongoing issue for me and I couldn't even walk out of there on my own. But I was discharged and they waited to give me the toradol till I was leaving rather than when I was crying in the bed the entire time.
Worst hospital staff ever. Of the 20 or so staff members I can honestly say TWO were exceptional and took their careers seriously. Arrived with my wife around 5pm and up until after midnight she still hadn't seen a doctor. Was in pain from a fall and could not get any pain medication only asked for Tylenol. For over 3 hours she held the same position in line. GHETTO ATTITUDES FROM DOCTORS TO NURSES. We would of been better off driving to California to get treatment. If you can avoid this place do so. I would not even bring my dog here keep your loved ones alive and stay clear of this place. Had to give a star just to post this for your safety.
I came in via ambulance after a pretty bad car accident…… the radiologist didn’t ask me to remove my bra before the CT scan. And the doctor ordered a CT with contrast even though I’m deathly allergic. The scan has my full metal bra in it, how can you tell if there is a ruptured disk? No one cared and rushed me out. I’m still in extreme pain from the accident. I asked for my left arm to be checked and they didn’t. I had to go to your urgent care facility after to get my arm checked out!
Was in great pain! Went to three dentist for infected gum. Nobody would treat me. "Go to the hospital" was the only response. Just get rid of me.! The Emergency room treated me like a real person in pain. The treatment was more than I expected. So kind, understanding and compassionate. Not a fan of running to dentists, doctors or hospitals.....but I was in pain. New fan of Emergency Room!!! An old lady.
Urgent care called ambulance. Sat in waiting room at hospital 4 1/2 hours, til blood sugar started dropping. Had to walk pushing chair to front , explained problem. No help. Told me I had 3 ahead of me, and to wait. To make long story short, I waited 30 minutes longer, then left. I figured if I had an emergency problem, then it would have seen me sooner. Still having great deal breathing but tried to get help. Blood and chest X-ray done immediately, but tightness in chest still there and trouble breathe while walking still there but didn’t want to cause a scene so stayed calm. No other tests done.
I would give zero stars if I could. This hospital will NEVER receive a dime of my money. Hours long wait for everyone, staff is in absolutely no rush to get people seen. If you do actually make it in the back before giving up and going home, they will just gaslight you or tell you they don’t know what’s wrong with you, and send you home with nothing. I went once for a panic attack, and I ended up just riding it out in the waiting room for 5+ hours. Do you have any idea what a 5-7 hour long panic attack is like? Hell. My friend just went to the emergency room in pain and in fear something was wrong with her ovaries. They did a vaginal ultrasound and a pregnancy test, then said “I don’t know what’s wrong with you and we don’t do hormonal testing” and sent her home. Did not talk about the results of the ultrasound AT. ALL, although my friend believes she saw cysts she has seen her families ultrasounds with ovarian cysts And don’t do hormonal testing? You’re a hospital, wth do you mean you don’t do hormonal testing?! Shes telling them she does not feel normal, she’s in immense pain, and something is wrong. Doctor Zoya something just tested her for pregnancy AGAIN, then after telling her nothing is wrong with her he left her waiting an additional 3 hours for nothing before deciding she’s allowed to go home. He talked to her once, deemed HE wasn’t able to help her, so sent her home. Nursing staff is great and doing the best they can, very nice people, they are the only reason this hospital has 2.5 stars and not 1.
My 3 year old grandson was here visiting and got really sick, fever, hacking cough, low oxygen. Brought him into the emergency room and checked in, sat down and waited, and waited and waited…. Not one person came out to check his vitals. We left after 2 hours with no response. I understand busy but really??? Oh, then they sent a text saying thank you for choosing Yuma Regional medical center for your health care needs???
They don’t treat the problem, they only want money. i arrived with a swollen throat, with terrible pain they gave me a intravenous steroid and it did nothing for me, they new all pharmacies were closed and sent me still with horrific pain, they did unnecessary labs including a useless ct scan of my throat which obviously showed it is inflamed. I had a 99.9 fever and mentioned my son passed it to me. I went back processed me all over again and i waited another 2 hours on top of the 4 hours i was there, just for some pain medicine. I think they send really bad doctors to this hospital, it’s scary.
It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life. The process was long and daunting. The nurses were very short and could care less if I was okay. When I requested water it took an hour and half to receive it. I was left in the room while waiting for an ultrasound for over 4 hours with no one to come in to check on me, see if I needed anything, if my situation was getting worse. Then when they came to give my results they sent an unexperienced nurse to talk to me rather than a doctor who had no clue what I was saying to her in my reply to their diagnosis. YRMC NEEDS TO DO BETTER at training their staff to be more service based, compassionate to patients as they may be experiencing some of the most horrifying times of their lives, and need to just do better. I'd rather drive 2 hours to San Diego than ever go here again.
