An entire shopping experience, in a good way. Unlike going to get bread or a coffee at any of the other 3,000 locations in the area, Zabas is one to visit when you come to town. Shop around, grab a bite, and enjoy a coffee as you sit outside :

My wife saw the Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan scene from You've Got Mail filmed in Zabar's and she said how cool it would be go there someday. Well, I did the next best thing and ordered a gift package for her for Christmas. It was totally awesome, she really liked everything in it. Hope to get more from Zabar's someday.

I love Zabar'. Because we moved a couple of hours away I can only get there every few years. Genuinely love the fish counter! And when you really analyze it, the prices are more than fair.

Classic Nova Bagel was mind-blowingly good! Reuben panini was fresh and tasty! Zabar's truly lives up to its name: 10/10 would recommend.

Zabars remains one of the great stores of NYC. If you're from out of town, it's a must visit. If you're a local, you already know. The quality & selection of food items & cooking paraphernalia are outstanding. Only caution is, great quality is not cheap.
