Mr. Julio M. Zapata, a Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent rated trial attorney focuses his practice on plaintiff’s catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation. He is licensed in both Arizona and Washington. Mr. Zapata has had the opportunity to focus on a wide variety of case types and areas of the law. He has represented clients in personal injury, probate and estate disputes, commercial litigation and creditor's rights cases, for over seventeen years. Mr. Zapata has tried numerous cases to verdict and has several published Court of Appeals decisions. Mr. Zapata opened his own litigation firm in January 2014 after practicing law as a partner at Fennemore Craig, one of the largest law firms in the southwest which boasts a 125 year history and over 200 lawyers. His decision to start his own firm was due to his desire to have the flexibility to accept the types of cases for the people he felt he could do the most good. Mr. Zapata is active in many associations. He is a Member of The Trial Section of the State Bar of Arizona, The Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Arizona, The Maricopa County Bar Association, The American Bankruptcy Institute, The Washington State Bar Association, The American Bar Association, and a Lifetime Member and Founder's Circle member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, where he has previously served as Regional President for the states of Washington and Arizona. Mr. Zapata also serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Arizona Latino Arts & Cultural Center, Inc. (ALAC) in downtown Phoenix, and serves on the board of the Arizona Fair Housing Center.
