Gonzalo is the most legit leather repair specialist in all of NYC. Especially for his price point + fast turn around and quality. Not the mention he is always polite and happy to see returning customers. After the long city shutdown and quarantine, I started to WFH so I didn't need shoes repaired when businesses re-opened. I asked him if he could restore a couple vintage belts and a vintage Coach handbag. They came out LIKE NEW! The commute from Brooklyn is WORTH IT. Plus it's a great excuse to visit Rose & Joe's Bakery a few blocks down.

Amazing price and quick turnaround time on some motorcycle gloves I got that were kevlar and leather. The thumb was too long on just about every model I tried on and on a whim i decided to bring them to this place i found on google and they took in a quarter inch on each thumb, avoiding any damage to the integrity of the gloves.

The last of the bespoke footwear technicians / designers. Has tutored and worked for the best in Manhattan’s theater district and Wall Street for 20 years plus before he opened his business in Astoria. A master at the leather cutting table who can create originals or recreate something softly used to brand new. New York City is still very lucky to have him in the borough of Queens. He is an artisan. He is the best kept secret; well, maybe not a secret anymore.

Did a fantastic job of replacing the heels on my Allen Edmonds shoes for $25. AE would have charged double or more. Will definitely be back with any/all shoe repair needs.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am in tears after dropping my $1,000 never worn, brand new, Christian Louboutin shoes off to have them vibram seals ONLY at the sole. I was clear, do NOT touch the back of these shoes, only add the seal to the bottom. I was promised these would be handled with care. My shoes are butchered! One shoe is two different colors, because they melted the actual shoe and tried painting over it with a different color red. There is red paint all along the side of the shoe. The other shoe has black melted sealant on it. They are completely destroyed. Do not accept luxury items if you cannot handle them and have no experience with them.

Somehow I got white paint onto my new dress shoes. I thought I'd have to throw them out but the shop was able to remove all the paint and make them look brand new! I'll definitely be going back there
