My friends were very excited to take me to the "Best Kept Secret in Grant Park" and this place is definitely a gem. The atmosphere is great and the food was even better. It is definitely unassuming from the outside, but it is very special inside. We ate with two little kids and Ziba's had a small but ample kids menu. The food was really good for kids food I stole some pasta and French fried. For dinner, I got the Jambalaya with Shrimp, Chicken, and Andouille. It was very good and huge portion. It came with an awesome slice of spicy cornbread that was served warm. My friends got the Barbacoa and Avocado Salad which also looked amazing. I'm knocking a star for price. The food was much more expensive than I would have guessed and they even charged for soda refills which was not explained beforehand. The service was also lackluster but they seemed to be short staffed. All in all, I would recommend it. Ziba's offers great atmosphere for a special occasion or a simple night out with date or family. Give them a try! just don't tell anyone
We were greeted at the door and sat with our reservation. It took about 10 minutes for someone to bring waters. We went and got menus ourselves. Then a different person greeted us server and the experience was great from there. Cheese curds were just right. 1/2 spinach and 1/2 avocado salad sizable for price. Entrees were chicken picatta excellent and mexican meatball which was super flavorful in a great broth and a huge portion most came home with us bc we ordered too much. Server was really pleasant and attentive through the meal. Very ecelctic menu and lots of other things we wanted to try. Interior is dim and cozy - good date spot. Way bigger inside than it looks from the street. We lucked out with parking but can see how that could be problematic for any other day/time than a Monday at open 5pm.
Good drinksterrible male Server #0016 Alberto was prejudice and so rude walked away while we were ordering food to greet a regular customer. He never said anything to us.. he acted like he didn't want to serve us.. I ordered raw oysters it's not pleasing to eat old seafood. I pray for Chef Gordon Ramsey from Hell's kitchen to pop up and be served raw oysters at this place. He would definitely the server My friend and I ate one raw oyster on a cracker that was it for the both of us. I paid $21.00 for nothing. The Server had the nerve to bring out a take out container. I started to tell him to eat the old raw oysters. The 1* is for the female host she was very very friendly and welcoming.
Ambiance great was romantic and dim. Wanted a charcuterie board and found Zola’s and I wasn’t disappointed. Walked in and I was warmly greeted by the hosted she was amazing and I thought I was going to have an amazing experience. I decided to sit at the bar and was served by Alberto he was a bit short i didn't think much of it. I ordered the sangria which was amazing and a cheese board he asked if I wanted to keep the menu after ordering I said yes when my cheese board came out I see why he asked the board was huge and I was alone; I feel like he should have mention it. Told me what was on the board and left. A couple sat beside me at the bar and he was so welcoming wishing them a happy thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and everything cheers, cling their glasses the whole nine. I asked him after eating a 10th of my food is there a way that this can be boxed in the back he said he can bring me out a box and I can do it he’s busy or something like that he said that while walking off, which is understandable with cross contamination and everything else but that response was very dismissive. I wanted to try a few other things on the menu but I decided to go at that point I was a entirely too uncomfortable. I will be back but probably won’t sit at the bar.
Don't let the outside scare you away! It has been about 10 years since my first visit to this restaurant and, man, shame on me for not coming back more often. The menu is really great - something for everyone. We had a table with diverse tastes and everyone raved about their meals. The service was GREAT...friendly and on top of it. The vibe reminded me a little of some places in New Orleans or even Europe - rustic, scruffy but also really pretty and delicious. Go visit this spot. Now. Do it.
The food was great! Drinks were awesome! We sat at the bar and the waiter was nice and attentive. He handed us our checks and told us to “make it rain” all laughs right? We signed for our checks, he walked away and then brought them back and said ‘do better’ as it pertained to the tip, which was 20%. Y’all need to tell him to do better.
I love this place so much! Food=Delicious!! Service=beautiful people with beautiful smiles!! Atmosphere=cozy & welcoming!!
This place is the definition of hole in the wall. And with hole in the walls, you find the best stuff. No exception to this place. We were greeted warmly and found our seat. We got our drinks and saw the menu. Its limited but has a wide array of tastes. I ordered the jambalaya wondering how well it would be cooked. I was not disappointed. It was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of spices and plenty of shrimp and meat. I was pleasantly surprised. My son had the bacon burger which by the way, kids eat free and he finished the whole thing. We then ordered the strawberry shortcake. It came a little messy but was good nonetheless. You have to be on the lookout to find this place, but you will not be disappointed when you do. And I didn't even mention the beer and wine they have!
I'm in Atlanta for the summer and I knew enough about Atl to know there was good food here, but I kept coming up shirt. Then I found Ziba's Bistro. It is quaint and unassuming in a seemingly quiet neighborhood. Looks small from the outside but spacious on the inside. I was greeted immediately by a host and once I sat at the bar, the bartender came right over with water and introduced himself. He talked through a couple menu items he liked which I appreciated. I ended up getting something simple because... I had been burned before. I got the Crustini as an app ... perfect!!!! The bread was crusty enough to stand up to the healthy amounts of tomato, goat cheese, and balsamic vinegar. The Thai chili mussels were a hit ... he didn't mention how spicy they'd be. Whew ... I loved every minute of it. Finally, I found great food in the area close to where I'm staying. I'm definitely returning!!!! Great service, great food, nice ambience... very good spot to become a regular!!
Went here for my birthday. Alberto make it super special by providing dessert and champagne! He was the best server, super friendly and attentive. The food was amazing as well.
