This was my first time trying Egyptian cuisine, and Zooba did not disappoint! The restaurant has good aesthetics and chill vibes. The inside dinning area is nice and comfortable. The outside dinning space is great for enjoying your meal and the city. The food had a lot of different flavors that were new to me but were delicious. The prices are fair, costing about $30 for two people to get a meal, hummus, and drinks.
Usually falafels tend to be dry but these were really good. Got the spicy one and the heat really kicks in at the end. Fries were great but had to shake off the extra dry seasoning before eating.
We came here for lunch and had a great, satisfying meal. I really liked the Spicy Hawawshi with Hibiscus Tahina. If you want to try a bowl, I would recommend the Badawi Beef. The Dukla Fries were tasty and seasoned well but a little low on the quantity for the price. The different sauces are all delicious you should try a few of them. Service was great, very friendly. The restaurant was clean and everything is halal.
Amazing! Super great prices for New York and really delicious Egyptian food. The spicy hawawshi and mint limeade in particular are so good, and all of the sauces are great. I really enjoy sitting here and working; they play great music and all of the decorations are really lovely.
Delicious spot for a quick lunch or a nice dinner! They use kiosks for food ordering but if need be they also take cash. Food prep is quick, you won't be waiting a long time for them to make your meal. Staff is attentive and very nice! I highly recommend stopping by for a delicious lunch if you're in the area.Food: 5/5
Loved visiting Zooba for the first time! What a fun, lively, and colorful restaurant with great food! It was so easy to order, thanks to the awesome and friendly staff - Darren was so nice and helpful! I'm so happy to have tried the harwashi sandwich - it was absolutely delicious! I got the one with everything on it - load on all that sauce please! The fresh bread was a great touch as well in the sandwich. Looking forward to coming back to trying one of their bowls!
First time trying Egyptian street food The food was great I really like the lime lemonade. Really refreshing! The restaurant is quit big with lots of seats. Great spot to take a quick bite
This place is a vibe! And it was a bonus that we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Great vegetarian/vegan options. The spicy Falafel sandwich is a must try! Great Koshary, delicious Falafels and Dukka fries - and the pickled lemon sauce reminded me of a pickle from my childhood! The Egyptian grilled cheese with the tapenade was also quite interesting! Both the Mint and the Hibiscus lemonades were refreshing and nice!
We wanted to check this place for a very long time. We actually been to a Cairo location so it was interesting to compare those two places. Food was very nice, we loved the decor and music playlist we even saved it on Spotify . If you like Egyptian food you have to try this place!
Okay. Was worth trying, but I think I may prefer other Mediterranean food in general. Tried a trifecta of food on a whim: -3 pieces of egyptian falafel with aswani chili sauce -koshari egypt's national dish -classic falafel sandwich Had to try the national dish, but it was overall just to bland for me, even with the chili sauce. The falafel was okay, but nothing above and beyond any other falafel sandwich I can find. If I'm back in Nolita, I'd prob give this place another try with the hawawshi, but it probably won't be soon.
