Chelsie Maura is a Bahamian jewelry designer based in Nassau. She’s always had an eye for art, design and great composition. Very in tune with her German ancestry and inspired by the beautiful tropical colors of the gorgeous islands of The Bahamas, she researched gemstones and traveled frequently to Europe to find expert stone cutters and interesting patterns of the best quality gemstones mined. She decided to transform the culture of gemstones from fine, delicate jewelry to artistic pieces of naturally rough and cut stones, detailed enough to interchangeably mix with fine metal and precious gemstone jewelry. Chelsie has always been fascinated with the Murano glass artisans in Venice, Italy and their creative way to manipulate glass. She traveled there and contracted factories in Italy to custom design handmade glass beads for her unique line of jewelry. She has now expanded her collection to an interchangeable handbag collection. She publically expresses that her success is first accredited to God and then her ability to create jewelry combinations from gemstones, pearls, metals and glass with impeccable detail. She goes beyond the rules of fashion, and focuses on innovative and fresh jewelry ideas which attract women everywhere. She currently works with both private and commercial clients worldwide. Chelsie Maura and her team of talented young women believe that every piece of her jewelry is a unique slice of nature and art in perfection which should be worn boldly with endless possibilities.
