First off, the prices were very competitive with other florists in the area. Secondly, I ordered for my wife and daughter and had to do both notes in the same message section. They took enough care and attention to split up the notes and attach them to the flowers that made sense. My wife loved hers! I’m writing this before our daughter comes home from school, though, so we’ll see if she likes them! Also, delivery was at a great time in the morning, so I couldn’t be happier!
A Matter of Taste should be renamed A Matter of Excellence. Truly one of the most talented florists I've seen, and the quality of their flowers is top notch. I ordered a few days before Mother's Day and selected Florist's Choice. My mom said they were the prettiest she's ever seen, and she has impeccable taste herself! I'm a customer for life. Thank you!
They are truly amazing! They promised beautiful arrangements for our event and they were so beautiful I teared up. I wanted my sisters baby shower to be perfect and the flowers helped make it better than I could have imagined.
Sorry to say, I won't be using this florist again. Pros: I requested via online message they use some pastels, with rose and hydrangea if possible. Arrangement looks professional. Roses are nice. They must have seen my comments. Cons: Very short on flowers for the money. Lots of filler greens, which is nice but the arrangement is very sparse on flowers and not worth the cost. The hydrangea is wilting already and was delivered in that condition. Really bad part. I never got a confirmation email as the online order said I would. The confirmation page said the flowers were already delivered 3 days before they were supposed to be and they hadn't been. This was the week prior to Mother's Day, so I understand they were busy, but I tried to call repeatedly for 2 days and obviously they took the phone off the hook and weren't answering, from early am to closing. I didn't know if the flowers were coming or not, and had no way to confirm because they weren't answering the phone. It appears they may take too many orders to fulfill customer service that goes along with them??? HEB in Georgetown had absolutely magnificent huge arrangements that put this to shame for the same amount of money delivered. I was so sorry I hadn't gotten them instead. As a back up, I got a couple bouquet of roses at HEB for 15% of the cost of this arrangement and another bouquet at HEB for 1/2 the cost of this arrangement, both of which I found to be much nicer and could have also been delivered. I try to support local small business but the value is too far off on this and the communication was non-existent, so I stressed over whether it would even arrive. I'd read another review that said the flowers were sub-par and they wondered if it was because the order was from out of state. This order would have appeared to be from out of state since I was ordering on behalf of my sibling who lives out of state. However, I am here in person to see it. I'm not sure if that's an issue or not, but I'm mentioning bc someone else did. I did not contact the florist before posting this, bc they are closed today and I spent too much time trying to reach them earlier. I'm posting pictures of the arrangement received from A Matter of Taste first for $75 including delivery has the yellow aster. The other two I picked up as a back up in case AMOTF didn't deliver. Pink in the middle is HEB for $35 third is HEB for $15 ............ Just very disappointing all around.
It was my first time ordering from this florist and we were so impressed! I’ve always ordered from online florists and it was always hit or miss, with many more misses lately. I was surprised to find out that A Matter of Taste has been around for so long. I can now see why. The flowers were beautiful, fresh and the delivery was friendly and on time. I will be ordering from them again!
The flowers arrived sooner than expected and were even more BEAUTIFUL than the picture made them look. The best part is my wife loved them.
I went for the Designer's Choice medium bouquet with some chocolates. Ordering online was easy and they were delivered without trouble. Really lovely arrangement and highly recommend. I always like to get a florist's choice because it tends to be so creative. This fit the bill! I recommend using A Matter of Taste, especially for Georgetown deliveries!
I ordered, 'How Sweet It Is' for my mom's birthday and the flowers were delivered promptly and as expected. She loves them and they're beautiful.
My mom LOVED the flowers. She got a few bouquets for her 80th birthday and said mine were the most beautiful by far. Also she happens to be a Master Gardener and knows her flowers. She was worried about me spending so much money because she thought mine must've cost at least $200, but nope -- it was an eighty-dollar bouquet. But clearly worth way more!
This sweet florist was so caring on the phone, and although they were very busy for Valentines, and not able to make a same day delivery, they said they would “absolutely get it delivered that day”. My dear nephew and niece just lost their baby that day, 18 weeks pregnant and they had gone through in vitro , so this was a miracle baby. I didn’t even go into the whole story. They were so compassionate, and delivered within a few hours. The arrangement, the Divine Peace bouquet is beautiful, and they will have the beautiful crystal cross as a keepsake.
