I've been using this pharmacy here in Heartland for five years now, and I think I've got a pretty good gage on what this pharmacy & it's team has meant to me. Let me share with you my experience. Let me preface this by saying that I have multiple health conditions, and my wife has had multiple surgeries, so through the years and because I'm at the pharmacy multiple times a month I've gotten to know and observe the staff at this location. I'm going to give you two personal experiences that I've had, and one that I've witnessed. The first one was concerning my daughter. She needed a particular prescription that this location only had half of the dosage for. Pharmacist Steve actually called another location for me, and had them fill it to ensure that we would get it that same day. The next one was when my wife had her spinal fusion surgery and pharmacist Heather took the time with me to help me manage the list of medications that I had to give to my wife during her recovery process. I've also had other pharmastists follow up with me regarding other prescriptions as well, out of concern that we needed to have them filled promptly. Lastly, I was shopping at the store one day, and had gone to the pharmacy first to pick up my prescription and I saw that pharmacist Steve had just vaccinated a young girl and she was crying afterwards. A short while after this I saw him buying a bag of candyat the u-scan, to give her to console her. These are just a few examples of the things that I've observed over the years here, and could give many many more. It's little things like walking up to pick up a script, and Ann starts checking the computer before you say a word to her. She says "Hi Jerry, I've got 3 for you today". All of the employees here are so friendly, and it shows that they really care. If you didn't know, Meijer has a pharmacy, and it's exemplary. I'm thankful that the Meijer pharmacy in Hartland is a part of my life. Thank you to each and every one of you front line workers. They are because they're the ones giving out prescriptions to the sickest of people, and with a smile on their face
Had a prescription called in this afternoon medication is in stock at this store. Came in 4 hours later to pick it up both pharmacy techs are sitting playing on their phones and there’s no other customers. I asked to pick up my prescription and was asked if I wanted to come back tomorrow because they hadn’t filled it yet. Pharmacy verified the script was in stock again and asked if I could wait another 20 minutes to fill it. That’s when a technician named Ashley who was playing in her phone start talking rudely from the back ground still playing on her phone. I said I will just come back another day to pick it up since they definitely were to busy playing or texting on their phones. Spoke with Lindsey after I left the store she stated that she was the manager today and she was not in the pharmacy area at the time. She seemed to be laughing as I spoke with her on the phone and didn’t really care to hear about it. I guess that’s where her employees under her get it from. Definitely will not be returning to this pharmacy again.
If you need any kind of controlled substance for anything, do not go to this pharmacy. For months they have been filling my prescriptions today they called and said we can’t fill A and I told the pharmacist what it was for, he then said ok I’ll fill it. When I went to pick up that prescription A I asked to have the rest be put in to fill for the future date and the called and said we won’t fill that quantity of prescription B take it somewhere else. Even though they’ve been filling both of those prescriptions A & B for months. Either they’ve been doing something wrong that they should be in trouble for, or their being discriminatory against people with certain diagnoses. Either way save yourself some time and find a caring pharmacy that doesn’t think they know better than your medical doctor. Find somewhere that will just fill your prescriptions with out causing you massive anxiety pretending like they’re not going to fill it then after some convincing they do anyways. I really liked going here but they’re on a power rush and making medical decisions for you. You may get lucky and they’ll do it for you but they pick and chose who they’ll fill prescriptions for and that could change at any moment. Save yourself the anxiety of not knowing month to month if you’ll be able to get your medication. I’m a registered nurse and I’ve worked with many wonderful pharmacists they just aren’t it. Edit** after reading other reviews I realized that they really don’t ever have any medication in stock. This goes for controlled medication, non controlled and over the counter shelves are always empty in one section or another. They almost always have to order your RX. RX A listed above was out of stock 3 weeks ago. I was lucky i had extra because this is a medication that is deadly if stopped immediately. The pharmacist and I had a direct conversation about it because they were going to fill a partial and “if it got there in time they’d fill the rest if not I’d forfeit the rest of the prescription” again medication that’s deadly if stopped abruptly. Today when I called they magically had it and NEVER called me to let me know it was in stock. I’ve been waiting and who knows how long it would have been before they called me to tell me it was in stock. I keep getting more and more upset as I’m thinking of other minor things that happened that I over looked before they started making medical decisions for me. It takes forever to get anything: in line, in the drive through, waiting in store for something to be filled… let’s just throw that in there too
I have 2 controlled substances I need filled every month for problems that Im ashamed of already the techs at meijer make me feel even worse the days I have to call & get them filled every month are horrible not to mention drawn out because they are always out of something ! So rude & nasty they make me feel like I doing something wrong they want to be the doctor & pharmacist I have been asked questions regarding the issue I taking some of my prescriptions that's between me & my Dr not some nasty tech who clearly hates her job. All the girl techs are a nightmare to deal with but there is 1 guy tech I don't know the name who is WONDERFUL I never feel judged by him. Meijer discriminates against people with certain medical issues that are just trying to get better & make it day to day. No one should leave a pharmacy feeling judged & less then. But after viewing the others reviews I know I'm not the only one themst goes through this. Someone needs to come it take charge & fix these issues meijer should not be able to do this to customers any more
Lied to me about being able to pick up a medication, saying there was a 4 day hold. After contacting my doctor, there was no such thing. They then said they didn't have the medication and that I should find a different pharmacy.
The worst pharmacy ever!! I have heard them more than once talk about the prescriptions I’m on and other private information. The girls that work there are extremely rude and offensive. They have no business in pharmacy. It’s always a long wait, and they usually don’t have your medication in stock. I’m in the process of transferring my prescriptions out. I refuse to continue to deal with these unprofessional and rude people.
This is one of the absolute WORST pharmacies. Staff is always rude and they act as though you inconvenience them when you’re there. I had dealt with their horrible customer service due to convenience but I now will not ever return. Yesterday the pharmacist is talking loudly enough to the point where everyone can hear about the script I was prescribed. Saying, “they don’t even do this script anymore, she’s not going to find this at any pharmacy and we don’t have it!!”. This was obnoxiously loud and rude. Someone then comes over me to relay his obnoxious statement much more politely, she then asks if I want them to call to see if my doctor will allow them to fill a different script since this particular one is apparently not used much anymore. Based off the pharmacist dramatic act I assume it would be easier for them to try to change the script to something different, since according to the pharmacist I won’t find it anywhere. The girl takes my name, says they’ll call my doctor about the potential switch then let me know. I get a call from my doctor saying the pharmacist told them I wanted a different med even though he apparently was able to get it in ONE DAY. Which he never said! Then he proceeded to tell them that I just walked away from the counter before they could relay that to me. I’m infuriated by how this man handled this, why not just be upfront with me or explain the process? How about DO YOUR JOB! This was the final straw with this place. Never liked coming here, only did for convenience. I’ll never be back.
Do you find adjusting your life and work schedule around the whims of pharmacists and their technicians? Then this is the pharmacy for you. Worst service available. Worst customer service in the industry Professionalism nonexistent
I really like the technicians they all give great service although they work long hours and are under appreciated as pharmacist and pharmacist assistants. They always provide great service with a smile.
Amazing young woman Lisa G. Helped me so much. I was very frustrated when I realized I didn’t have my prescription card I just had my medical card, this young lady proceeded to call and figure everything out for me. Always a pleasant young woman. Keep up the great customer service, you are going far! Keep smiling because you made me smile. Last week before Christmas you helped me as well over the phone, you have great people skills and the Pharmacy is very lucky to have you
