Mission

OUR MISSION
A PLACE TO BARK'S mission is to provide assistance and care to animals in need. Working together with other animal welfare agencies, uniting & each doing our part to create a win/win situation for every adoptable animal that comes into our program.

We are a new shelter concept, tackling an old problem. A Place To Bark is a temporary home, a foster facility that provides quarantine, full vet care, rehab & training to help adoptable animals further in the adoption process. All animals rescued are spay/neutered to reduce the future population & by saving existing lives, our program encompasses all vital actions needed to benefit the pets in need.

Products

Our dedication is to creating a program that could be the next step towards a no kill nation.
By building bridges and networking together, we hope to see a future of ending the unnecessary killing of animals.

Twice, once today at almost 100 degrees, these guys cancel last minute. I have a long haired pup that needs consistent grooming. This place sucks. My dog is at risk in this heat. They don’t seem to care.
Last year, my wife Tina and I started taking our Golden Retriever Cody and my Red Heeler Rocky here. From the very start, our furbabies have been so happy and excited about coming here. Lots of area for dogs to run and play and by the way, the staff are fantastic. I would recommend The Barking Spot to everyone.
Had an easy book with these people here! They were very informative while I was gone on my trip and my dog, Stella, didn’t have anything that would worry me when I got her back! These people seem to really love every dog as there own and that have land that the pups can play in! The biggest thing I worry about when I take my dog somewhere is if she’s even going to be able to get out of the kennel everyday bc she’s only 5 lbs and can’t hold her pee that long. You can trust them with your lil fur babies
Our two big guys always have a great time at The Barking Spot. I do recommend a bath, actually the Deluxe Grooming, because they do get stinky hanging with their friends. We have forgotten their food and it’s not been an issue, the staff is happy to take care of them. Our boys are little chaotic when dropping off and picking up but they are accepted just as they are!
This is the best facility ever! My little dog Daisy is here 5 days a week for daycare, and is so very happy to see Alan, the daycare manager, that she literally jumps into his arms in the morning. Considering she doesn’t even do that to my dad, that says a lot to me! On top of that, the grooms are top quality. She has never looked so good! I love this place!
This doggy daycare is awesome! They really go the extra mile to make sure your doggy is comfortable and enjoying their time there. The owners have been working hard to help my Great dane get over separation anxiety. Being a puppy during the pandemic meant we were not able to socialize her as much as we wanted too, Barking Spot has been helping us get through that setback and we could not appreciate it more! I couldn't be happier with this place. Two thumbs up!
We love boarding our Sheepadoodle at the Barking Spot. They have plenty of room for her to run and play. They also send action shots of her playing
The male owner of this place should not be allowed to work with customers. He is one of the rudest and most unprofessional human beings I have ever encountered. I have heard stories on his unprofessionalism and just I experienced it first hand. We will not be back.
I'm new to the Gallatin area and my neighbor recommended this place for boarding. I signed up and answered many questions about my baby girl Zoey. I felt confident knowing how I answered the questions that my dog would be understood. After all, they claim to be a great place to board. When I checked in with the gentleman, I had indicated this was our first visit. No acknowledgement of that. I have an abused rescue that doesn't like men which I clearly stated on the questionnaire. When I told him that he looked at me like I was an alien and then took her in the back without trying to greet her or get to know her. Upon returning I knew she wasn't taken care of badly. However her blanket and bed were smelling of urine. Just tell me I need to wash her belongings! All in all it's not a bad place. I recommend not taking special needs dogs aka abused pupshere. We won't be back.
Just wanted to take the time to mention how great we think this place is. Our dog is incredibly nervous, but is always happy to stay here. The owners handle her well, keep us updated on how our pet is doing, and even managed to get her bathed, which is generally only something we've been able to do. We've used boarders as a necessity for traveling, and can travel comfortably knowing our pet is cared for and is legitimately enjoying her stay.
