Only gave 5 stars because I couldn't give MORE. Anthony and staff were wonderful to my family in the process of my Mom's cremation, memorial service, etc. They let us come in the day before to help set up, and I was impressed to find out the gentleman helping us set up were also licensed funeral directors. Everyone took genuine interest in learning about my mom and helping us give her a great celebration of life. Anthony's speech and prayer at the end were spot on. Thank you again for taking a very difficult loss and giving her a positive sendoff! Also, thanks to Ozzie and Bella - the two very sweet dogs that spread happiness for us during the service Andy
The Repepi's has taken care of our loved one's for as long as I can remember. Excellent service and compassion. Will attend another family members service on 12/1/21. Rest in Peace Brother. I went to school with a couple of the Repepi Sons.
Now that it's been a few weeks since my beautiful mother-in-laws passing, I figured I would leave our review. The Funeral Home itself is very well maintained, a lot space, with a beautiful water fountain in the lobby. There is plenty of parking. They have emotional support dogs that they bring out to walk around, which as an animal lover, is really uplifting even if only for a few minutes. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming, very professional and respectful. Probably could have been a little more attentive to arriving guests, but with COVID, I'm sure they aren't at full staff. As for special requests that were made, and promised to us, things were not so great. We walked in to find her name spelled wrong on the main screen, it was corrected immediately, but it shouldn't have needed corrected in the 1st place. As a grieving family, walking in to find your loved ones name misspelled doesn't exactly start things off right. We provided a USB drive with all of the pictures that were to play inside the room itself, most of which were not right side up when scrolling on the screen. From there, we move to the service. We opted to have family do most of the talking. But we didn't expect for them to basically read the obit that we provided, or to have her daughter and granddaughters names pronounced incorrectly. 1 of the key factors in us picking this funeral home was the assurance that they could accommodate a special request from my mother-in-law. She had a certain song to be played at the end, with everybody singing and clapping as they said their final goodbyes. We provides the USB with lyrics to play on a screen. The evening before, we were once again assured that this was ready to go. For us to find out the following morning that they couldn't get it to work. Which is the most upsetting part. We weren't able to meet 1 of her most important requests. We were assured that they had amazing staff, and would be able to make her look like the picture provided. But based on remarks from friends and family, I unfortunately have to disagree with that statement. We certainly did not take the cheaper route with the planning process. And when you spend that large of an amount of $, you expect things to go as requested and promised. Which in this case just didn't happen.
Tonight I attended a wake service for a dear friend who passed away suddenly. He was a very well known Restaurant owner who always had a smile on his face and a heart of gold. A truly kind person. We arrived at Ripepi in Middleburg Heights at 5:20pm seeing wake began at 5 and it was until 8:pm. After arriving our wait in line was 3hours and 15 minutes, I am not complaining for the wait to pay our respect to the deceased, but for the unorganization of the funeral parlor. No one was controlling the lines of visitors, as people would cut in line or just walk right in from doors directly into room where deceased was, without respecting lines. After I told one of the owners or ushers he replied that the people that were entering without respecting the line could be people who were already in casket room who had come out and were reentering, I assured him this was not the circumstance, he continued to say they were doing their best. Nothing was done everything went the same, very unorganized, and when we left the line of visitors who were there to pay their respects was still out the door. This is not a happy occasion and not do I want to cause polemics but I suggest more organization to ease things up for both family of deceased and friends and families. A very disappointed and heart broken friend of Aldo Zappa, may he rest in peace.
Anthony, Steve & Dan are the most sincere family. They took care of my mother as if it were there own. From start to finish they showed compassion and were there every step of the way. I also want to Thank Tom for stating he will take care of our mom at first sight. THEY ALL did just that. Thank you to all the staff at ARipepi & Sons for a Professional First class job. She would have been very proud of us , but could not have done it without your help. Sincerely, The Wolf Family.
Update to my review: After speaking with Anthony I had 180 degree experience. He listened with understanding an compassion. He made me feel as though my concerns were well within reason and addressed them immediately. The emotion I felt when he had my sister's ashes EXPRESS delivered was more than I could ask for. He also included the receipt and a copy of the death certificate! Thank you for helping us during this time Anthony. My initial experience with A. Ripepi & Sons started off less than stellar. Daniel Ripepi handled the cremation for my sister. Because I live in California I had to handle the arrangements over the telephone. He was kind and full of unkept promises. I asked Daniel if he could email me a receipt of my payment of the services, he never did. I asked Daniel to let me know when her ashes were ready, he never did. After a couple of weeks I called to see were the ashes ready and he informed me that he gave her ashes to a family member. I asked him didn't he think he should contact the family member that paid for the services? I informed Daniel that I wanted to purchase a necklace urn for my personal portion of her ashes before he handed them off. He then informed me that he would contact the family member and contact me the next day. That was 3 weeks ago, no word from Mr. Daniel. It is a shame that anyone should have to go through such measures during a sensitive time. If you need clear concise actions taken with regards to your loved one I would advise you to reconsider your options before using this facility. If you just want to have a procedure done and deal with people that don't care about your requests, this is the place to go. It's a shame he took the payment without haste and everything else went down the toilet.
I was absolutely pleased with them! Daniel was kind, helpful and understanding! I found the facility beautiful and classy! They handled my son's funeral.I recommend them to everyone!
Words can't describe how well Anthony and his brothers handle my father's service. His team are beyond true professionals at what they do....Thank you!
