A Summer Place Consignments provides a great way to sell your gently used furnishings and home decor. We offer pick-up service, or you may bring the items in yourself, whether it's by the truckload or just a box.

That’s my favorite store, if I’m looking for something specific I usually found them there, for example. I have a very small place and was looking for a small Dining Room set, not too boring and not too modern, so there it is…… I was overwhelmed

Love this consignment shop! I purchased a unique dining table with six chairs here and get compliments on it from everyone who visits. They have an eccletic selection of home goods. Highly recommend !

I love this shop! In fact I would love to move in. Everything is so nicely displayed and the owners are super friendly but not overbearing. You can shop at your leisure without pressure. I’ve never walked in without walking out with something. Stop in and you won’t be disappointed

There's a big difference in experience between being a buyer and being a consignor with Summerplace. I have consigned 2 times. I should have known that there was something a bit off with Deb. After the contract expired the first time ,which was years ago, Deb encouraged me to leave my items there and she would continue to sell them. I never heard from her again and because I was so busy with personal issues I just took it as an oversight on her part and let it go. The second time with her encouragement flourished with Xs and Os in texts I brought in real antiques and other lovely items. I noticed that there was no area to lay the items down. They had to be scattered on top of a glass showcase with a lot of other items on glass tables and couch tops..you get the idea. She put a very young girl in charge of the intake all of which was hastily written out by hand. As I left I came back to take pictures having had a 2nd sense that there was something amiss about the sloppily-written contract with misspellings and it was a good thing that I did. When the 4 months was over I called Deb to notify her that I would be picking up the items that had not sold and she suggested that I leave them again for another month at least to see if the rest would sell. Having had this experience before and knowing that it, clearly, reads on their contract that items left and not picked would become their property I suggested a new contract with new dates and signatures. What followed was a seriously illogical conversation about how that could not be done so I just decided to pick up my items. After a few days Deb asked If I had any pictures of some of the items that had not sold. They were lost within her store or perhaps had sold and I had not been credited. Then I got a phone message stating that my items are ready for pickup followed by a text the next day asking for more pictures. Do you get the idea? When I came for pickup some items were still missing and there were items belonging to other people mixed in with mine. BTW.. I noticed that my contract had a necklace but did not mention matching earrings. I breathed a sigh of relief to find them inside the box with the small items along with some other things that were not written originally. I could have forfeited them by being trusting. In her responses to reviewers she usually writes that she is short of help. It doesn't seem to matter to her what kind of warm body handled my offerings and, frankly, I can see why she is short-handed with her pre-computer age book keeping and mixed up moods. She also blames the store's lack of quiet time to find things..isn't the store quiet after closing or before opening? Be very careful to see that everything that you bring to her is carefully recorded and DO NOT let her talk you into leaving you things after the contract has expired. Take them home if she hasn't lost them if you consign take good pictures of all items and make sure that ALL are listed on the contract legibly.
I can't say enough good things about A Summer Place! I dropped off some furniture back in October and have been getting checks in the mail ever since. Deb and Mike are truly wonderful people and go the extra mile to keep their customers satisfied. I'm so glad I found you guys – you have helped me out tremendously. What a great store with a huge selection and tons of good deals. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!
