I was moving from an apartment and a storage place to a new house. I had them scheduled to arrive at 8am at the storage unit. They arrived 45 mins late with no reason why. This was a pretty big move and I am not sure how to rate the items so I trusted the company to bring the right about trucks. During the first part of the move they kept saying we should have brought two trucks and not one and a small van. When we got to the apartment the four guys seem to slow down a lot taking longer then I did with 3 friends to move into. They also could not get all of my items in the truck so we had to leave a lot of stuff at the apartment. One of the guys asked if we could stop at a gas station to get cigarettes, I agreed but it was not the most direct route to the new house. Which they charged me for the drive time. During the move into the new house they would complaint when something had to go up to the second floor or the attic. They dropped a chest on the driveway which I did not see and was told by a neighbor later on, the only thing they told me was a dresser was loose and they were going to tighten it up a little. After the move was complete at the new house it ran over the time limit so if they went back to the apartment it would and increased the price a lot. So I ended the move and rented a truck to complete the move myself which took until Midnight. The total of the incomplete move was $1200 dollars. We did call the company to voice our concerns about the service. The manager was sorry about the problems and offered refund our $250 dollars once she clears it with her manager. This call was on 11/23/17 and since then I have not received any refund. I even called them 3 times in the month of December and left a message which was never returned. I would not contract this company to complete your move.
I would NOT recommend using this company! After spending nearly $700, the job was half done and my husband and I ended up moving nearly half of our things by ourselves!! I booked this job a month in advance and they ended up sending a very small truck. Once the truck was filled and moved and unloaded, the guys made NO offer to go back for the rest of our things! They said they had another job to do. WOW!!! The reason that I hired movers was for us NOT to have to do the work!! Upon talking to the Manager several times, they refused to refund any of my money for the half completed job nor do anything else to help me. Very upset and would never refer anyone to them...
I booked this moving company well in advance for a local move yesterday. They called the morning of and cancelled. They insisted they called around to find another company to help with no success. I had to search for another company on the last Friday of the month, with all of my belongings packed in limbo and keys in hand having made the arrangements for me and my partner to lose a day of work. Thankfully, I found another company who did an amazing job but charged a premium for same-day booking. I called several times to at least have the company make up the difference and I have yet to hear back. Unprofessional and completely unacceptable.
We recently worked with A Woman's Touch Moving for our move and I would caution anyone against using this business in the future. When I called to request a quote, I gave the woman I spoke with later identified as the "boss" by the movers detailed descriptions about all of the furniture and boxes that would need to be moved. On the day of the move, the movers showed up and told us that they would need to bring in an extra man and the job would take nine hours we were told 3-4 - for a total cost of about three times what we were quoted. Our lease was ending and we had no other options, so we asked the movers just to move the larger furniture items. We had to move all of our boxes and smaller furniture ourselves, and still ended up paying about twice what we were quoted. When we called the "boss" on Monday, she was unapologetic and, frankly, pretty hostile about the whole thing. I don't normally post negative reviews, but I'm hoping I can save someone else from the hassle we went through. Update after business's response: All of our furniture and boxes were "revealed" to the business. This attempt to pass blame for their own error is disappointing, but consistent with the poor customer service we received when we contacted the business after the move.
This team is wonderful. This is the second time I have used them to move. This time, it was for a longer distance move, so I hired them to load my moving truck. I hired movers in a different state to unload the truck and even they commented on how great of a job A Woman's Touch did loading up my truck. I never take the time to write reviews, but this group truly deserves applause. Excellent service.
I appreciate that a friend of mine at work suggested A Woman’s Touch to move my belongings from VA to NC. The owner was very nice and professional who visited my house to give me an estimate of the cost that was very nearly exact, which proved less than any other moving company. The movers worked diligently, covering my furniture in a professional manner, moving everything carefully. Each of the movers knew how to handle the furniture. I had to move it from my home in VA to a storage unit IN NC. I just removed my furniture from storage, after six months, and not one piece was damaged or broken. They stacked the items very wisely in the unit. Note: The local NC movers, Hornets Moving, had to only move 1/3 of what A Movers Touch had to move since I moved most myself. They took much longer. They even broke one piece of furniture and lied about it. I trusted them and signed the papers to find out they had broke the leg off after their departure. I only mention this to show the difference in quality service. I wish A Womans Touch could have moved me within NC.. A Womans Touch even helped me find the storage unit in NC to put my furniture. They are an outstanding moving company. I recommend that you try them. BTW, all moving companies charge you for boxes and supplies. I had checked with four different companies in VA. Therefore, I packed my boxes myself buying the boxes and packing paper from Lowe’s. I never priced the supplies from A Womans Touch; I should have - could have been less.. A Womans Touch moving crew also took apart my beds and dining room table with expertise making sure everything was there to put together upon arrival. Unlike Hornets who put one bed together that fell apart and left screws on the ground of my dining table that I found afterwards - very sloppy and unprofessional.. I compare these because both are local to areas; one crew cares about their trade and the other seemingly doesn’t. Special thanks to A Womans Touch for such outstanding service and people of integrity! You will not be disappointed if you use them.
This companys management was the worst they charge customers for used boxes! They hinders their own workers from doing the job correctly! It took them over 9 hours to move a 3 bed room apartment and this was after they had came the day before to pack things to be loaded! Once the movers transported the items the following day we started unpacking and found broken items, missing items, and when we contacted the owner was berated, swore at reapeatedly and hung up on twice before they just started allowing the phone to just ring! This went on for several days! All there numbers lead to the same office and they only function from a single office! they are absolutely ghetto and very misleading! Do Not trust this company with your belongs you will regret it! Beware of this Womens touch You have been warned!
these guys were great. they showed up on time, worked non-stop, were super careful to do things the right way, and the way we wanted them done. they got the job done super fast, and were very professional and courteous. Lee was the head of the operation at our place, and he was very very good. he had everything in line, there were no gaps in communication, and was just overall really good. prices beat many other moving companies in the area, and they provided 5 free wardrobe boxes and three movers for the same price as other companies offer two.
