I had my vehicle towed to this location after it became inoperable on May 20, 2023. I was told that this would be a free tow since I was towing it to a AAA car care center even though it was over the allotted miles for my basic membership. I decided to have it towed to this AAA center at 606 S Stratford Rd, Winston-Salem, NC. Upfront they informed me that it would be a $150.00 diagnostic fee regardless of work done. I agreed and they discovered that I needed a fuel pump replaced and fuel system flush. The charge for this work was quoted at $1,440.00. Yep you read that right, over $1,400 to replace a fuel pump and flush the fuel system. Oh and they suggested that I replace the spark plugs and wires along with flushing and replacing other fluids for $400.00 more. I decided to have my vehicle towed to another local shop with several certified mechanics. Their price to replace the fuel pump and flush the fuel system was $550.00. Almost $ 900.00 cheaper to do the same job and if I want them to do the tune-up it would be around $250.00. A total of $800.00 compared to the $1,800.00 AAA car center wanted for all suggested service. I suggest that you only use this location for your car repairs as a last resort considering the inflated prices they are charging for mechanical work. I thought that by being a AAA member the car care center would be reputable, but I don't consider this fair. The roadside experience was very good and the representatives that assisted in that request were very pleasant.

I went here to get a headlight bulb replaced. They quoted me $250 for labor and now to have them both done would want me better than $500 in labor alone. They told me this included, my AAA discount. I wasn’t even offered a discount to have two put in. I was skeptical of that price, so I investigated doing it myself and was blown away when I discovered that the process takes less two minutes per lightbulb, and requires no tools.

I'm definitely canceling my AAA membership after my experience here. I called 3 different times on consecutive business days, and each time, the previous shift didn't pass on any information about my car. My car sat there for 1 week for a flat tire. It took them 6 days to even look at my car after being told they would do it every day that I called. I eventually went up there around 5 p.m. on the 7th day of them having my car and replacement tire, and they finally put the new tire on while I was there. Just to clarify, they got my tire the next day after ordering it, at no point were they waiting on the tire to get there, they ordered my tire on the 6th day of having my car. Edit: It's been about 3 months and as I was changing my oil and doing general maintenance on my car I realized that they put the wrong tire on my car. They are 100% incompetent.Services: Tires

Expensive but if you want honest trained mechanic who know what their doing and do a great job go here . I take my SUV BMW here only .

I’m normally super anxious about getting my car fixed because i’ve had a few bad experiences as a young girl who doesn’t know a lot about cars, these guys are super nice and made everything really easy and i actually paid less than was quoted!Service: General repairs & maintenance

To be honest AAA has timing issues. Me and my family went out that day. My fiancé got a flat tire we called them to assist. I called around 4:50pm they txt me the driver should come around 5:25pm we sat there in the cold for about 1 hour in a half. Thank god someone else came to the aide it was not AAA at all it was a good samaritan that help us out. AAA needs to communicate more and tell the truth about the situation tho. They need to fixed timing issues and communicating issues. It don’t make no sense tho. That’s why I gave a 2 star rating hopefully it will get better for AAA.

I drove in off the street with a flat tire. Even though they were fully booked, they assessed the situation, replaced the tire and got me on my way! They've been our go-to place for care care for over 10 years--always friendly and efficient. Thanks, Angie!Services: Tires

Everyone at this business was nice, and helpful, even providing a ride home when the vehicle was to stay overnight. Continued to keep me updated, and price for four, me tires seemed reasonable. Very pleased!

They charge a 75.00 diagnostic fee -even if you know what is wrong with the car. The excuse Micah gave me was "we are going to have to push your car into a bay, and that takes up time....we need to put our eyes on it". They charge 150.00/hr and make you use expensive factory parts..regardless how old your car is. I thought being a AAA service station I would be well taken care of. I was not. If I had more time I would have found a local mechanic without the bogus fees and large overhead. Micah didn't seem to care and I felt taken advantage of.
