Absolutely unprofessional rude and the owner of the business hung up on me was unwilling to make arrangements for my loved one. Absolutely would not ever recommend them nor ever trust them in their rudeness and unprofessionalism.
I was only in town for a week and they were very accommodating. Very friendly and kind and reasonable prices.
what a strange review to leave, but necessary given the service and compassion i received following the death of my sister. Guinevere and others is the type of person we should strive to be like. she was compassionate, patient, understanding, knowledgeable and above all, human. AAsum-Dufour is indeed a business, but they showed me that we can successfully operate a business while retaining that beauty humanity has the potential to offer. if you're reading these reviews searching for their services, i'm sorry for your loss. these folks are a safe bet. let them do what they do and allow yourself the opportunity to move through your loss. good luck.
Everyone who I spoke with in this process was so polite and friendly and empathetic. I just wish that there had been a bit more care taken in my pup's paw prints. I requested a paw print because I didn't think the ones I did were good enough, and now I'm glad that I had had the foresight to do it myself. In the picture, the top is the one I did. The bottom is the one I received from AAsum-Dufour.
Nick and the team at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home went out of their way to help my brother and I honor our father. We live in Iowa and this team was amazing and helpful while dealing with many layers of out-of-state family to take care of our father's funeral care. We are appreciative of our experience with them. Although nobody wants to experience the unexpected death of a family member, much less a parent, Nick and the team really went above and beyond with communication, care, respect, and efficiency. Thank you. I highly recommend them.
Very understanding and professional service provided for the cremation of my young son. No up selling pressure at all. Plus quick responses to my several emails.
Great customer service and very personable. I received a call directly from the owner James to schedule a time to come in and go over arrangements. James made us feel so comfortable which made a very emotional process a lot easier.
They are wonderful! They cremated our cat Duchess for a very reasonable price, gave us her remains in a cute bag, did a nose and paw ink print, gave us a tuft of her hair, and a clay paw print I intend to hang up on our Christmas tree this year. Losing Duchess was extremely hard, but it was a pleasure working with them. I recommend them! They’re also in a very convenient location.
A friend of mine experienced the devastating loss of her dog in January. He was more than just a pet but was her constant companion and a deeply loved member of her family. Wanting to insure her dog would be treated with the upmost dignity during this heartbreaking process she did her research and decided to go to Aasum-dufor funeral home in Albany Oregon, partially based on the reviews and recommendations found on their website . But what happened to her when she got there with her beloved dog was a whole other tragedy. The careless manner in which the staff handled her dogs body was beyond unacceptable. They yanked him out of her hands by his leg he was a 120lb lab mix btw , flipping him into his back while attempting to land him on a medical table to roll him into the building. But unfortunately missed. To her horror his head and half of his body didn’t make it into the table . She was there to assist in moving him so this was an avoidable tragedy. The funeral director showed no compassion or empathy when it was brought to her attention. Wanting to let people know her experience so none else would have to suffer the emotional trauma these people put her through, she wrote a review on their site. It was immediately removed by the funeral home. She posted on Yelp to try and get her experience out there. Only keeping the positive feedback and giving yourself a 5 star rating seems like fraud to me. AVOID THESE FRAUDS .
When my father passed we turned to Aasum Dufor to handle everything and they could not have been better. The process was made simple, their pricing was very fair far less than expected and their staff was very compassionate. I appreciate their help and caring at this difficult time. Trust your loved ones to and rely on AD and I guarantee you will be glad you did.
