Abbey Delray Health Care Center

My parents started out with the Lifespace community approximately 12 years ago. This was the best decision they could have made. Now, my father has passed and this wonderful organization is caring for my Mom. She went from Independent Living to Assisted Living and now she is living at the Health Center. All along the way, the care and attention she has and is receiving is excellent. I spent my working life as a Registered Dietitian in many long term care facilities so I know my way around ‘the system.’ While no place is perfect, Abbey Delray provides excellent all around care. The Staff at Abbey Delray North and South are second to none. At every level of care, the staff have been attentive and loving to my Mom. They have worked closely with me to ensure that my Mother is getting the care, love and support she needs. I’m confident that when I’m not there, my Mother is safe and that means the world to me.

I am an RN and my mom recently stayed at this place and the Rehab at this place is the worst place I've ever been in my whole healthcare life! I visited my mom everyday. Most of Nurses and Aides are the WORST HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS I'VE EVER MET. THEY ARE RUDE TO THE PATIENTS AND VERY DEFENSIVE IF YOU ASK QUESTIONS REGARDING YOUR CARE. I DON'T KNOW WHO RUNS THIS PLACE BUT THIS UNIT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN AND RE-VAMPED. I WOULDN'T BRING MY DOG HERE. My 80yr old mom had a broken hip and she was struggling through her day to day stay here. She previously stayed at Manor Care and we thought this was a better option but boy were we "WRONG". Manor Care is a Dream compared to Abbey Delray. Don't let your family member come here. I don't like giving bad reviews but while visiting my mom. I've witnessed too many patients being neglected and abused. Management doesn't seem to care either!

Rehab @ Abbey Delray north. A great outcome in rehab starts with a great team and the therapists here are attentive , motivating and communicative . iI's so refreshing to get feedback about your parent when you call. The temporary rehab Director , Dina, was so welcoming to my questions and concerns and promptly responded when me or my sis left a message . Thank you Dina and your therapy colleagues ,

After serving in an administrative capacity at a skilled nursing facility in Broward County for 14 years it is my pleasure to leave this review. My Mom was in the rehab for three weeks. The staff were all super friendly and responsive to my Mother’s needs. It was my first time being the Family Member. Thanks to the dedication of the staff I always went home with confidence my Mom was cared for. I would stay in the rehab my own self. I have visited hundreds of similar places throughout my years in the field and this is the first place where I wouldn’t mind staying my own self. I congratulate the staff on a job well done!!

My mother was in Abbey Delray for only 3 weeks before she died under hospice care. For the past 3 weeks I have called several times, leaving messages to no avail. Finally today I received a call back. I had 2 questions: 1. when can I pick up my mothers belongings? I was told her things were donated because no one came to claim them in 30 days My mother isn't gone 30 days yet and no one from Abbey Delray even called me when my mom passed.. 2. When can I expect refund of deposit?. Was told someone would get back to me. No one called. This shouldn't be this hard.
