ABCO ArtSpace is a West Oakland art space and collective that has been around since 2005. ABCO Artists are dedicated to making art in a variety of mediums and to providing a place for artists at all stages in their careers to exhibit their work. In so doing, they wish to make ABCo a powerful force in the Bay Area art community and in the world at large.
ABCo is also a member of Oakland Art Murmur.
ABCo ArtSpace produces, promotes, and supports the full spectrum of creative expression. We host events that revolve around art, music, film, literature, and politics. These events feature talent from the Bay Area and beyond.
The Bay Area is following a familiar urban pattern; Its rich cultural landscape is fueling a migration that is flattening the cultural landscape. As The Bay changes, we strive to stay the same. We will continue fostering and producing meaningful cultural output. We will continue to support the DIY, underground, and activist communities, striving to ensure that these vital parts of our culture have a platform to reach their audience and goals.
