It's hard to find a good Mexican restaurant specifically if you are from California, this place was great, well served and good attitude Food: 5/5
Ordered the adobada super nachos and the carne asada plate, and both were really good. We just got out from seeing a metalcore show nearby August burns red and this place is open till 2:30 am . Great for those later nights.
I ordered a carne asada burrito...from the drive though.... from the pictures below there was chicken added to my burrito... which I did not order or ask for .. I do not eat chicken and have not eaten if for years. I am furious. Why would your staff do this ? Dietary restrictions: I do not eat chicken !!!!!!! And there was chicken added to my burrito. Why would your staff willing do this ?
Hands down one of the best! Always friendly staff, fresh ingredients, and big portions. There are 22 combination plates and everything in between. A bit pricey but still a great deal for the amount of food you get. I highly recommend!Food: 5/5
Yikes, my first bad review on Google. So disappointment and would strongly recommend doing a different Mexican place. Tons of other good options. We tried Abelardro's via DoorDash and was disappointment. They didn't give chips with the queso dip we ordered. No chips and salsa come with the meal. And overall the food was bland and sub par. I tried to call to talk to someone to give my feedback and the phone rang with no one ever answering. I tried calling back multiple times and they obviously just leave it off the hook. It's the small things that matter. Go check out Monterrey Mexican, El Fogon, or Tasty Tacos. So many other good options and we'll go back to the ones we know are good and have good service.
Food was so good and the service was very fast also. Love this restaurant and birria burrito. They also had so many sauces.Food: 5/5
Just found this place and I am very impressed. The food was very tasty and inexpensive. The portions we're huge and I enjoyed their salsa bar. We only had burritos this trip but plan to come back soon to try more.
Went in and ordered tacos. Honestly for how much they charge for 1 taco you'd expect it to be good but no. The meat was dry and burnt to the point where it hurt my mouth while chewing. I couldn't even eat it. Horrible place.
Although there are several Abelardo's locations now in the central Iowa region, the WDM location of Abelardo's is unique in that it serves breakfast tacos. Having spent some time in Texas, finding breakfast tacos in the DSM area is quite refreshing. The breakfast tacos are definitely comparable to the stuff found in the South. Since everything is made fresh, our typical weekend routine starts with placing the order at Abelardo's, walking over to Hurt's to pick up a couple of donuts, and walking back to Abelardo's to pick up our order. There is seating area in the restaurant, but we typically just take the food home given our donuts to devour. If you've never had breakfast tacos, we highly recommend visiting the WDM Aberlardo's for a taste of the South.
7/1/23 What a waste of money. I ordered 2 hard shell taco and received 2 burnt shells, burnt hamburger, and no lettuce to really speak of. I also ordered chips and queso and what I received was burnt chips and no queso. Save your money and eat somewhere else.Food: 1/5
