Not a lot of options on the Menu for a Bar-B-Q Joint, but the Bar-B-Q Pork Sandwich did deliver along with the BBQ Beans. Great Service. Great lunch spot when rolling down Highway 61.Food: 4/5
We did not get pics of the food BUT I highly recommend the bbq sandwiches! Super yummy and loaded with slaw & sauce, overflowing with bbq. We decided to eat dinner here both nights we were in town. The rib tips, eh, not our fave. The ribs were good as well. The service is fast and you can eat inside, outside or call/pull up & order to go!!
Had the tamales, rib plate, and pork sandwich, all were excellent. I don't even like cole slaw but I loved theirs. Crowded parking lot is always a good sign!Food: 5/5
When they say every thing on the menu is good, I normally take caution. They were not lying! The beef sandwich was impressive. The onion rings were to perfection. The staff was amazing for being the only waitress in the place she made it look easy. When at the cross roads this should be your stop.
Great! BBQ was true to Memphis! The tamales were an excellent surprise. Sides were good and service was excellent with friendly staff. The Croosroads monument was icing on the cake.Food: 5/5
a great place to stop and eat for lunch. our waitress, Lucille was so nice and came out with our food very quickly. my pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw was so good! I love their ~tangy~ bbq sauce! so unique and delicious! the atmosphere is awesome as well! there’s a lot of good history to look at: and they have the “good” ice! on my next visit to Clarksdale I will definitely come back by for a visit!
Passed through here on our way up to Memphis. The place was packed which is always a good sign. The ribs were good but the star of the show was the beef sandwich which we both really enjoyed. Certainly worth a visit.Food: 4/5
Tamales smothered in chili and cheese were 5.0. The coleslaw was ok but just not the type I prefer. The beer could've been colder. The waitress was particularly pleasant and efficient and had a most wonderful smile.Food: 5/5
I was visiting from Texas and heard about Mississippi Hot Tamales and wanted to try them. I called in an order. They aren't like TX tamales, but they are delicious. Also, the employees at Abe's were super nice.Food: 5/5
Was really looking forward to visiting the area and eating BBQ at Abe’s. It did not meet the expectations I had for the BBQ. We had the rib plate with tater salad and baked beans and a pulled pork sandwich. Ribs were warm and tender but not overly cooked, had a good pull to get off the bone. Very little or almost no smoke flavor on the meat though. Sauce was bland, no heat or sweet, just sauce. I expected more. Beans and tater salad were good. Sandwich was good but again no smoke flavor on the meat. Staff was friendly and food came out in a timely manner. When I’m back in Clarksdale I do not plan to get BBQ here. There is a better place I found but don’t want to say here, just give them a review instead. Overall a good visit to Abe’s at The Crossroads. Please get some smoke in your meat and some jazz in your sauce and you are easily a 5 star.
