Originally made in the kitchen.. Absolute Green was created as an alternative to synthetic fragrances and toxic cleaners. Karen Halo who has chemical sensitivities, developed respiratory and health issues from a home improvement project. Not wanting this to happen to anyone else or a to a pet, she started perfecting some formulas she had started years earlier. She also became a LEED AP specialist in indoor air quality.
Mixing up small batches in her home, Karen started selling products at local farmers markets and festivals. She was discovered by Whole Foods and they tested her out in a few stores. Eventually, the buckets got bigger and she moved into a warehouse. Even though our space is bigger we are still made in small batches with our team of family, friends, retirees, students and military vets.
Today Absolute Green is in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions of Whole Foods (NJ, NY & CT) as well as smaller chains and independent retailers.
To create natural and healthy products that are free from artificial fragrances, harsh chemicals and must be fun to use! Whenever possible use locally made materials. Every product must be safe for adults, kids, pets and our planet.
