About our National Organization:
ASWA is a professional not-for-profit organization founded in 1938 in Indianapolis to increase the opportunities for women in all fields of accounting. Today there are over 100 chapters and 6,000 members across the United States. Our members share similar concerns and challenges at professional and social levels and encompass all levels and fields of accounting, finance, tax, and consulting. There are four membership classifications: regular, associate (less than two years of experience), affiliate, and retired.
The mission of the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional, and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession.
