The three women working there couldn't have been less helpful. They seemed annoyed when I asked them where items were. I gave them 2 stars because the store has a good amount of inventory but I wont be back unless I am desperate for a tool/part.
Woeful customer service at West Chester Ace Hardware. I took a tin of paint in that had solidified and requested exactly the same color in a replacement tin. After applying the new color to the wall, I realize that they had given me full strength instead of 50% as was clearly indicated on the original tin. I went back to the store with both tins and was accused of causing the problem myself. I was asked to return to the store in an hour to collect the replacement 50% tin. When I went back to the store, the extremely rude woman expected me to pay for the new tin despite them having made the mistake in the first place. When I questioned this I was virtually asked to leave. Upon getting home I checked the new tin and it was also wrong! I felt so abused by that woman in the store that there is no way I will be returning. Ever. Disgusting customer service.
Ace Hardware offers many options to chose from, yardwork, seeds, wheel barrows, and more. It is a great store to go to for stuff that humans do instead of machines. It offers great service, not once has my dad or me had ever complained about somebody. Good store.
This place is so awesome! Always get such great helpful service and today was another great visit. My son got a go-kart for his birthday and after a week of heavy use, a tire popped off. It was just a screw, but of course he didn't find the screw, so i didn't know what size to get. I took it to Ace, they came out and took the other tire off to find the correct screw and washer. Sam helped put it back on, and it was very tough to fit the pliers inside to get it back on. But he was patient and persistent and got it fixed. Thanks so much for all your help!
I was there today and both sales reps, I dealt with were were extremely helpful. I have only been here 3-4 times but every time has been a pleasant experience. It is worth the drive from Exton.
I was very surprised at how dismissive the two women are that work up front. One wouldn't look at me and when I asked a question she just said back wallstill didn't look at me. Then I went to check out stood in front of cashier but she wasn't going to take me and didn't tell me she wasn't open. She just ignored me. The woman that did take me had a hard time looking up from her phone and was very short with me. I was really hoping I'd have a nice little local hardware store to run to when I needed something but I'll take my business somewhere else if that's how I'm going to be treated.
I love Ace stores! I think you can get literally EVERYTHING there! This is no exception. This little store is packed with a wide variety of items from garde supplies to coffee!
I am usually a Home Depot person for comfort but just started going to Ace. It is closer to me and the prices are comparable if not better then Home Depot
Full inventory and friendly and knowledgeable staff. I’ve been there and said, “I know you’re not going to carry this, but.” And they have it! I’ll have a home project in mind and they always offer great advice as to how to do it the best way. Convenient location and there’s a pet food store next door!
Had what I needed in stock. Staff was very helpful.
