Had to return 1st car 2nd day of trip due to check engine light. 2nd vehicle was a down grade to a compact. Our luggage wouldn't fit. 3rd vehicle we had to add oil to it bcuz oil light went on and we weren't driving back to airport again. Garage workers were beyond rude. They wouldn't let us leave. We had yo go back to rental desk to get a manager to come out with us in order to leave lot. Charged us $86 after we returned our vehicle for something we did not agree to. Also car was beyond filthy.
Seems like ACE agents were rushing to push customer out to other car rental agencies. The agent typed wrong street name on the rental agreement even though he has my driver license on his hand. He automatically added "all inclusive tolling" into the agreement. I told him that I only drive local street and don't need it but he said it is the rule in Florida to charge the toll in advance. He said lot of people got hit with Florida's tollway system. We were in a hurry and didn't want to argue with him. He is just a worker and only obey direct order from his manager and ACE corporation. It is terrible that ACE rent a car charge customer for things customer doesn't need. When check out the vehicle in the lot, the ACE personnel seems to forget that not everyone knows Spanish. She walked around vehicle but didn't notice the dent on the vehicle door until we pointed it to her. We pointed her to the flat tire icon and the oil change icon but she kept saying something we could not understand.
I have never rented from this rental agency. I went on Priceline and was offered a deal for a full size SUV for 7 people. When I arrived I was helped immediately but quickly found out their version of a Full size SUV was a Toyota Highlander. I was disappointed as the picture was a Tahoe or similar. A Tahoe and Highlander are not similar in size. I had an expectation of the vehicle and pointed out some minor damage I seen on the vehicle and was able to leave. When I returned the SUV I wasn’t given a receipt. I was told I had to wait for an email to arrive if the final receipt.
I had good service and was helped by George who happened to be very professional. He helped me with all the questions I had about my car rental except the charge for liability insurance which he failed to mention that charge. I didn’t know realize this until I saw my credit card statement during my rental. He also didn’t go through all the charges at the time at the kiosk. This would have been fine if it was a charge I was disclosed off. Regardless the team did there best to understand the situation fixed it for me. Appreciate the help.
We arrived late and learned that we booked a car at the wrong place. So we stopped by and Nelson helped us out. He was super courteous and helpful. We got a nice Camry. Thanks Nelson
From picking up the car to dropping it off, my wife and I had a great experience. They were very flexible and helpful in getting us into our rental car. It was our first time in Miami and the lady at the front counter was very helpful in getting us a toll pass. The vehicle was in great condition and return was effortless. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Be careful of the scams and take your time when signing the agreement. I opted-out of extra coverage; however, I was charged because the agent Lavern tricked me into signing for the extra coverage when I declined it. Also, because it appeared that everything worked out well, she asked me to complete the survey by giving her a 5 star review before the car was returned which was when I discovered she charged me for additional coverage. I couldn’t dispute because I signed the document blindly. I thought I was signing to opt-out the extra coverage which I asked for or to do. I never get extra coverage because I have car insurance and if something were to happen to their car in my possession I would be responsible. It’s like paying double. They’re crooks and very rude when trying to reach out to the agents. They leave you on extended holds and Lavern even hung up on me. She’s a piece of work. Extremely rude and does not admit her wrongdoings.
Rented a car from ACE for 5 days while on vacation in Florida. First time renting a car but it was a very smooth process. The guy who helped us was helpful in explaining different add ons and whether we needed them. He gave us a pretty new/nice Toyota which was a nice surprise. Deposit on vehicle was refunded a few days upon returning vehicle which was a relief. Overall great experience and will use again when I return.
I don't often leave reviews but feel like I need to acknowledge Jorge from Ace FLL. We had 2 other rental car agencies rentals fall through. We had never rented from Ace before so was hesitant about it. Jorge was very professional, friendly and straightforward. He provided us with very good customer service and got us into a car. He helped save our vacation that was off to a very rocky start.
I have never been treated with such incredible disrespect. My husband had a reservation to rent a vehicle and when we came off our flight at Fort Lauderdale and went to pick up the car, the counter representative whose name is Alma, said she could not locate our reservation and asked for my husbands ID and credit card which he proceeded to hand over to Alma. She still could not locate our reservation. My husband showed her our confirmation email, she asked to see my husbands phone as she scrolled through the CONFIRMATION EMAIL she handed the phone back and said I do not see a confirmation number so I cannot help you. At this point I stepped in and said but you just saw the confirmation email. She said to me AND I QUOTE “STOP LOOKING AT ME AGGRESSIVELY” My husband said what she can look however she chooses. First let me say, we own more than one property pay taxes are business owners been married over 20 years attend church I have never been treated with such disrespect I said to her you cannot be serious, I said this is unbelievable. she said yes you look aggressive and I feel like you are going to come over the counter. WE WERE SHOCKED it was the most blatant racism, SIMPLY because we were black. We never cursed, shouted, she continued to tell MY HUSBAND she does not appreciate my tone. My husband said you are out of bounds at this point we need a supervisor. Naturally I said this is unreal I said you are extremely disrespectful and outrageously unprofessional and it is very clear why you are behaving this way. We asked for a supervisor she said oh well he is not here and I cannot help you THEN she proceeded to call someone and got off and said IN FACT WE DO NOT HAVE ANY CARS FOR YOU. Shortly after my husband was able to locate our confirmation number on his own and went to a different rep and miraculously there were no issues at all. This is just my first step as I will continue to take further action.
