Great team. Great service. Always make a point to come visit.  Best alternate airport for the derby !  No reservations.  No traffic no landing fees !

Fly EKX - that’s what they say! There are several companies located/operating here.  Let’s start with the positive: the FBO staff and the shop are the nicest folks I’ve met at any airport, small or large. They will not hesitate to give you a tour of the FBO, ramp, shop and hangars. It’s ideal when you have kids and you want them to discover a new universe. They simply love what they do, they radiate passion and that’s quite beautiful to experience.  The ramp is in great condition, so is the runway there is plenty of it - 6000ft, EKX is IFR as well and is now fully surrounded by a high fence, thanks to a grant that came from the FAA recently. From the parking lot, you have a good view of the ramp where you’ll often see some nice turboprops and jets from all over. You also get to see some military traffic frequently.  In regards to the facility itself: well, the FBO needs some TLC and could be easily updated to something raising the standard a bit. It feels the growth stopped right after the financial crisis and things are « just maintained » the way they used to be. The good news is that they can fix that in no time.  The aircrafts available for rental are flying but are looking rough. They’ve seen their fair share of bugs, flight hours and oil changes. It’s time to go next gen. It’s time to put a new wave of young pilots and bankers in the same room.  Their flight instructors are great.  Skydive KY is there as well - they run good although I didn’t get to experience their services  first hand.  So let’s give it a 5* for a fantastic team.

Love this airport!!! Well maintained and super friendly staff. Best airport to use if you're flying into Fort Knox.

Went and watched my buddy jump. Staff were very polite and educational and fellow jumpers were very friendly and nice. It was very clean and we had a great time just spectating.

Great facilities and good people.

14.5 hrs. As trainer pilot, would like to complete the course. Where can I find a my pilot certificate?
