I've dealt with 2 physicians at this practice, and do not have a problem with either of the physicians. I am grateful for them saving my life in the middle of the night. However their support staff, including medical support and office staff leave so much to be desired. The sad part is they have actually made improvements over the last 3 years, but so much is still needed. I would definitely NOT recommend the cardio rehab department at Adena.
Took my friend there last week. Rude receptionist... DIRTY EXAM ROOM. ---- " BEEN CLEANED" sign on the counter though...... LAUGHABLE...... SO I MAY BE CRAZY....but balled up paper and a large TOE NAIL is not clean. Doctor was a bit snotty when my friend asked about some things.. You know the type--- better than you vibe. HATE WE HAD TO EXPLAIN THINGS 3X. To receptionist, intake & doctor. So that's my opinion.
I don't recommend going to Adena Cardiology if you have arrhythmia of the heart. I would recommend Ross Heart Center at Ohio State instead. The final months my dad spent of his life involved a couple trips to Adena. There, they just put him on a couple medicines for a few days and shocked him before discharging him. Both times, the meds and electro therapy did not correct his a. fib. I feel like the doctors did not give my dad more options, like a defibrillator or heart transplant. They should have never sent my dad home until he showed improvement. His heart was clearly failing, and I don't think the doctors knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, my dad died a month and a half ago because of congestive heart failure due to his a. fib. going untreated.
I personally dont go here but my grandmother does and dr. patel is a great doctor and is very reliable and able to explain things so she can understand.
The cardiopulmonary and cath lab staff is rude... I hate that we spend so much money and the service is rude... the lady’s at the check in desk make it seem like you’re an inconvenience to their job... I guess they’ve missed the fact that they wouldn’t have a job if it weren’t for people like us.
Yes they have some good heart Dr.in there office.
